Agreed. Ssdly the Sharks have our number. As soon as the Canucks beat the Hawks in Game 7 I knew we were in trouble. No amount of rest will help Detroit match-up better against the Sharks. They have the size, speed and strength advantage, they feast off our style of play. I hope I'm wrong with my prediction of SJ to win this series, but I didn't like what I saw in G1. We need to come out skating much, much better tonight.

I'm extremely worried about this series (tipped SJ in 7) but I think a lot can be put down to rust tonight, I mean even Helm looked a bit sluggish. Cleary looked awful, Bert, Abby, Franzen, most of our line-up looked slow and couldn't skate with any real purpose. IF we're as sluggish in Game 2, then I'll be thinking Sharks in 5. -

What kills me is that after that FREAKING SUPERB PK, we didn't even get the puck out of the zone in the 15-20 secs after we killed it. If we had, who knows what happens. Devestated, but the Wings really, really need to figure out ways to beat the Sharks. -

Yeah that's a bit surprising, how a mediocre team, WITHOUT their best player, still managed to break down their D so much. Hopefully over the course of the series we do too, but to me it looks like this one is going down the very fimilar path, SJ just have our number. -

Yep I agree, this is how I see it too. I've prepared myself for a loss, just can't see us getting up. They've dominated this game and I see them ending it with an early goal. -

See this I just don't get. Flip hasn't had his best game, but he's been strong defensively. He's been up against Heatley and Clowe, and what have they done either? They've cancelled each other out, I'll take that. -
