I hate Flip being wasted on the 3rd line, but I just think the Sharks have so much depth, especially at centre, that we need Dats on line 1, Hank on 2nd, Flip on 3rd. At least to start with anyway. Franzen - Datsyuk - Holmstrom Cleary - Zetterberg - Bertuzzi Hudler - Filppula - Miller Abdelkader - Helm - Eaves * If you want to scratch Miller for Draper, swap Abby with Miller and Draper with Abby.

Most likely San Jose finish off the Kings tomorrow and we meet them. I don't really want to face San Jose, their big guns scare me. I know they're playoff chokers but they did beat us last year and sooner or later you think everything has to click for them. Encouragingly though, the Kings have made it tough work for them and have exposed them at times, and their goaltending is pretty suspect, so I like our chances. Putting it simply, if we play as well as we did against Phoenix in the next round, with Zetterberg back, we should win regardless.

Excellent result for us! The Sharks have to play another 60 minutes of tough hockey while the Wings rest up. Go LA!

Letting the team down mate, I voted for Flip! I think the OP got the optios dead on though, they were the best of a great group.

Miller had a great series, 2 points, +2, good on the PK. I wouldn't be taking him out until his play declines.

I think we've got enough evidence by now to say that Flip cruises in the regular season. Because there's no way he can play as dominant as has has this series and virtually all playoff series if he wasn't always capable of it. Plus, Zetterberg has been out, and I think he steps up when he has more responsibility. He played 20:47, the most of any forward, won 11 faceoffs, had 2 assists and was +2. Dominant.

Yeah I too noticed the disappointment when he hit the post. But that's good, hopefully he's getting hungry to score more goals! As for his ice-time, not surprising given he's centering the 3rd and from about the midpoint of that period he started centering the 2nd.

As Filppula is no longer a part of the Wiings future plans, he will likely seek a new challenge, possibly the SEL. I'm guessing next seasons roster might look something like: Tatar - Emmerton* - Pare Nyquist - Andersson - Axelsson** Ferraro - Johnson - Keefe Callahan - Raedeke - Coetzee *= I think Emmerton will be waived and clear waivers **= unlikely, but surely an all Swede line tempts Dick?

He's been good tonight, but one shift late in the 2nd he was way too easily outbodied, he was just bumped aside from a relatively minor hit. They gained possession and got a shot off.
