Great read!! Jan is definitely starting to build momentum! He's definitely been playing better lately, got his speed back, is cycling the puck well, playing strong defensively. I like these quotes from Babs, because Jan definitely has a very good shot, it's a heavy shot that will draw a rebound. I hope as he gains more confidence he'll start to unleash it more!

It really was!! I was having flashbacks, when the puck landed on his stick I was like SHOOT IT!! It was incredibly similar. And I completely agree, when he gets his fitness back (I'd say he's around 80%), and starts to get the confidence and freedom to play his game, make moves ect, look out! Babs has been telling him to keep it simple, play strong defence and so far he's done that. He's looked better lately, more jump, seems to be gaining confidence, and the goal will only help that.

Mursak > Emmerton > Holmstrom. The 4th isn't great, but they've been defensively responsible, so that is one tick to them. I wish Holmstrom took less penalties, Emmerton touched the puck, and Mursak had more confidence, but other than that...

I wonder if Detroit really do have legitimate interest in Pominville. He would be an AMAZING acquistion. I'd offer Tatar, Pulkkinen, 2012 2nd, 2013 1st. Would that get it done? Probably not. But I wonder what the asking price is. Holy cow Columbus, asking a bit much maybe!!!

Pominville is an absolute gun, him for sure. He's skilled, he's got an awesome shot, he plays both PP and PK, he is a clutch player. I love the Poms. Too bad he won't leave Buffalo, no way the captain is delt.

Firstly, why do you think I hate Cleary?? Sure, he's not one of my favourite Wings, but I like him, I certainly don't hate him. So anytime anyone criticise a player it means they hate them?? Secondly, I get a lot of players cycle the puck back to the defenseman, my man Filppula does it a heck of a lot, but unlike Cleary, his passes make it back. Often Clearys passes will be easily intercepted and the opposition will start a rush the other way. Im not repeating that again, so if you fail to understand it this time, bad luck. C'mon mate, you're better than this. You know full well (I hope...) Staal hasn't been on 4 mil that entire time, so your point is irrelevant. 2009/10 was the first year his salary was 4 million, in the three seasons before hand it was almost half.

Jack Johnson is the most overrated player in the NHL. I honestly think he’s fairly garbage. He can hit, he can score, but he is terrible defensively, no awareness, turnovers, just often a liability.

Why would I acknowledge something that didn't happen? He didn't have a good game. He was average. It's not all his fault because he's not a top 6 forward and him filling in as one isn't really helping the team. He is what he is, a good defensive forward who belongs on the 3rd line.

^ Wow, seriously????? He was really ordinary, really ordinary. I love his constant, "cycle down low then pass it back to the defenceman" play which ALWAYS gets intercepted.
