Playoff lines... Franzen - Datsyuk - Hudler Cleary - Zetterberg - Bertuzzi Modano - Filppula - Holmstrom Abdelkader - Helm - Eaves Been surprisingly impressed with the 3rd line, as odd as it looks.

I don't think I'm going overboard when I say that might be Flip's best game...ever. He was dominant. That backhand attempt after flying past everyone on the PP. That nifty move in the 1st period to draw a penalty. That show of strength near the blueline to keep the puck in. The goal. The sweeeeet assist to Modano. He was a force. Now why don't you always play with that confidence Flip? See how good you can be?!?!

How freaking good can Filppula be when he wants to? He always steps up when one of Dats/Hank are out. How strong is he? Why doesn't he use his strength more often? You can see why Babs, Holland and co are always on about his potential. He can TAKE OVER when he puts his mind to it. Tonight's just about been the best offensive performance I've seen from him, looks absolutely scary.

I just love it how because we 'signed him for the playoffs' it means he can float all regular season, suck it up, but that's all okay because that's not why we signed him. What a cop out! And how is a washed up 40 year old suddenly going to flick the switch? Incredible.

I'm finding it hard to hate Pittsburgh any more, they're just a well run, hungry, committed team. Good on them. Detroit, meanwhile, think their skill will just make it happen. Sorry, won't cut it.
