The thing I'm noticing about Helm is that his hands are constantly improving, as in almost a nightly basis. And as his confidence is rising all the time, he's showing off his moves and he's scoring more often. He's strong in the corners, and obviously has lightning speed, so when you factor in his improving hands, it's no wonder the points have been flowing. If he can keep improving, I see him possibly being a 20-25 type player.

I really, really hope he's playing with Grand Rapids next season. One of our most exciting prospects, and would be one of the biggest arrivals in GR for some time. I agree with an above posted, a future line of Nyquist-Jarnkrok-Pulkkinen is scary, make it happen Kenny.

Leino's care factor towards the end of his stay in Detroit summed up his character. He was playing like a defeated, worthless dud and while I would've liked to get more out of the trade, he clearly wasn't going to cut it in Detroit. Can't stand him.

Terrible news. I loved watching him play in the WJC, looked like a gem. Hopefully he doesn't take too long to reocver and this doesn't hurt his confidence in the long-term.

I'd take Body Devereaux over Zetterberg.

You get the feeling the Wings are pretty high on this guy. When he was first drafted I and many others were shocked by his lack of production in his rookie OHL season but it soon became evident that he didn’t play much and wasn’t given much of a role. Given he plays with Bellville and was stuck down the depth chart in his first season I immediately sensed another potential Matthias case. And it seems as though that’s what the Wings are thinking too as they see Johnson being on a similar level at the same age and hope his development can follow a similar path. Through the first 9 games of the season Johnson has struggled to put the points on the board. He was supposedly very unlucky early, hitting posts, having goals disallowed and he’s only scored 1 goal and 6 points in the first 9 games. But tonight he’s having his first real breakthrough as he has 2 goals in 2 periods. He’s said to be a very strong 2 way player, a good skater and very competitive. He's still pretty lean and will take some time but he could be worth the wait.

Sure would've been nice to see Smith.

Well, you're just wrong. "Creating more chances than other lines"? Well, Helm's line has scored, Flip's line almost scored and has been strong, D&H have played more than any other line and probably had less chances. They've been mediocre.
