Sounds like he's pretty banged up, with pain everywhere, so to be honest this break might be good for him in the long run. Let him rest up, give him all the time he needs with Flip and Modano coming back, so when he returns he'll be fresh.

How are they similar? Holmstrom is 38. Franzen is 31. Hudler is 26. Holmstrom is slowing down, his last ES goal came on Decemeber 11th.

He's struggling a bit. Wouldn't mind Kindl to come in for Thursday's game, although it won't happen.

Interesting. I mean we know Homer works with Dats and Hank, and in the few times he's played alongside Helm I actually think he fits in there. So maybe playing with Flip wouldn't be so bad, throw in Modano and you've got a line that's far from conventional, but it might just work. I guess we'll find out shortly.

Because our 5 game win streak was broken? We're fine. We just struggle against SJ, and for that reason I hope we avoid them in the playoffs.

You could make up those type of numbers for anyone. Bertuzzi is on 100 goal pace since the start of the back-to-back against Boston. Just sayin.
