Who doesn't?? Dats is in a league of his own, all I'm saying Flip is looking more like Datsyuk in that one area.

Clearly Jan looks like... Isaac Slade, lead singer of the Fray. Jan was so impressive during his stint, so much speed and intensity, showed a lot of strength along the boards. He was obviously asked to keep it simple, get the puck in deep and keep the puck in the offensive zone, and he did very well. -
Next year: Zetterberg - Datsyuk - Holmstrom Franzen - Filppula - Hudler Bertuzzi - Helm - Eaves Abdelkader - Emmerton - Mursak (Draper)

Filppula is seriously, and I'm not going overboard, looking like Datsyuk out there with his weaving through traffic. He's got terrific speed, unbelievable vision, and his hands in getting in and out of traffic has improved so much. He's a better player when he has more responsibility, look at the way he steps it up in the playoffs and when Dats has been out. He's clutch.

^ Thanks for sharing. I LOVED reading that, brought a big smile to my face. I've been so impressed with him during his stint, he played so well again last night, should've had an assist on a Franzen blown chance. He is so, so strong along the boards, he always wins battles sheerly because of his intensity and desire. He's going to be a very good player for this organisation.

He's been brilliant since Datsyuk went down, brilliant. Stepped up big time, just look at his production. People will forget that though, and when Dats comes back and Flip gets less responsibiliy and is asked to take on less, the haters will return. But as we've seen during this stretch, Flip always steps up when needed.

I want a fit team of course, but I hope that's not the last we see of Mursak this season.

He's becoming a much more complete player. His offensive abilities are really coming out, he's developing better hands, more creativity in the offensive end and he'll be a 40 point player in this league for sure.

This game sucks. The only enjoyment is seeing the kids on the 4th in action, incl. Kindl.

Two hands on the freaking stick Bert. Man he loses so many pucks. How much more confident does Kindl seem? Loving his play.

That was a great shift by the 4th line, with the exception of that brain fade by Salei. Mursak did a great job on that shift, he was fending off two guys and still got the puck across to Abby.

Love that 4th line of Emmerton-Abdelkader-Mursak, although I think Abby and Emmo should switch as Abby is more effective as an NHL winger.

Mursak is looking mighty impressive, some of those shifts were so good. So much speed, energy, and he's got hands which will make themselves more vident as he gets more confidence. That backcheck on Hossa was fantastic, he actually outraced Hossa to the puck, not easy.

Hopefully Kindl can back-up from last nights effort where he was very solid. Looked the best he has offensively; his first point is very close. Would love to see either Mursak and Tatar score, both would be too much! Filppula had an outstanding game last night, hopefully he can repeat the magic. Go Wings!b -
