Bryan Bickell's doing that as we speak. I'm sure if I did a bit of research I could uncover a few. Lets not forget that the Griffins have been pretty awful in seasons gone, and Fraser has no idea with line combinations. Mursak's numbers don't reflect his potential.

I think eventually Mursak will develop into, at the very least, a 20-20 type player who kills penalties and plays physical. He's got huge upside. His AHL numbers are good, but they don't reflect his true talent. He's got great hands, a good shot, and he goes hard to the net. I expect he'll play a tick under 8 minutes tonight on debut, but I think he'll gain more faith from Babcock while he's up. If he impresses enough, I wouldn't rule out Mursak playing in the playoffs.

Horrible, horrible news. No one that young should die, especially in such a horrible way. Condolences to the family.
-
Maybe with Mursak called up, and if and when he performs, it'll force Hudler to be a bit more proactive knowing that there's someone who could potentially take his spot.
-
Ummmm? Last year in GR when Abdelkader and Mursak played on the same line they had some very promising chemistry, and both got hot towards the end of the season. I'd like to see them skate together on a line.
-
But Filppula's still in...? Oh, wait...
-
I thought he looked really good tonight, was impressed with how easily he stepped back into the line-up after such a long NHL absence.
-
It's bad luck, it happens. I'm sure Stuart feels as bad as anyone about this.
-
MURSAK officially recalled!! Oh man, I been waiting years for this! Jan!!
-
So now the thread is 'post Datsyuk, Cleary lines'.
-
iFlip's a centre, we need a winger. Franzen - Zetterberg - Holmstrom Bertuzzi - Filppula - Hudler Miller - Abdelkader - Eaves Draper - Helm - Mursak In a perfect world, I'd have Mursak on that 3rd line with Abby and Eaves. However with the above line-up you have the lethal speed of Jan with Helm and Drapes, and you have a right handed shot on both 3rd and 4th lines.

Sucks!! Awful news. I've been loving Cleary this season, has been playing inspiring hockey, such energy on every shift. He's made every line he's played on look threatening.
-
So we're all shattered about the news on Cleary. Devestating to lose arguably out MVP for the season. However out of bad news there's always good news, and it's got to be Jan Mursak's time to shine. Two assists tonight for Grand Rapids, has been down there for 3 years now and is overdue for a shot in the NHL.
-
Pulkkinen (tried to) deliver a big hit. At least he's not worried about his shoulder.
-
Pulkkinen with his second assist.
-
Very good performance by the boys. Hopefully Kindl can stay in the line-up tomorrow as I liked his game.
-
Thanks ref, absolute rubbish call.
-
CHARITY. Awful call.
-
2 assists for Jan the Man tonight. Tatar 2 points (G+A), ditto iFlip.
-
I'm loving the Ericsson-Kindl pairing. Eaves' shot BTW, is so good.
-
Are you serious? Man Babs has an unhealthy obsession with Miller and his 'offensive ability'. Everyone can see Eaves is a far superior offensive threat than Miller. Eaves: 8-2-10 Miller: 1-3-4
-
Horrific line IMO. Franzen-Zeterberg-Holmstrom Hudler-Filppula-Eaves Cleary-Abdelkader-Bertuzzi Draper-Helm-Miller Just don't like Bert with Flip, they don't make anything happen.
-
And what will he be making next season?
-
Scored 2 third period goals tonight to help the Griffins win 4-3. Is leading the team in goals, and as a centre, would be a nice replacement for Datsyuk. What do you think?
-
You're a funny guy.
