Yeah man, cause at 22, Matthias certainly has no upside and won't get any better from here on in. 4 points in 7 games, what a dud! Great post mate, just like your other posts in this thread. He's locked up for 3 years at virtually league minimum, now that's a bargain. I've been saying he's a poor man's Flip for a while now, they really are similar players. Ritola has good speed, he's got great hands and playmaking abilities, and he's developed his frame which allows him to make a physical impact. He's got that Datsyuk like ability to strip opponents of the puck too. He'll never be a star, and he'll probably never exceed 40 points, but the guy is solid in every aspect and it's a real shame we didn't give him a real shot to stick in Detroit.

Eaves played 12:44 tonight! How good is that last pic!
-
Yeah, cause I'm so pumped at having one useless season of Modano instead of a promising youngster in Ritola. As I said, smart.
-
Not sure if serious... You either are and come across as an idiot, or you're trying to be funny but failed miserably.
-
Love Eaves, hopefully he signs a 2-3 year extension at seasons end.

I so wish the 3rd line was: Ritola - Abdelkader - Mursak Anyway, PUMPED to see Abby back!

Oklahoma City Barons (5-4-1-0) @ Grand Rapids Griffins (4-2-0-1) 7:00 pm EDT Sebastian Piche PREVIEW: The Grand Rapids Griffins will be looking for their first home win of the season when they host the Oklahoma City Barons. The Griffins sit 2nd in the North Division with 9 points from 7 games, Oklahoma City meanwhile have played a league high 10 games and have gained 11 points, good for fourth in the West Division. Leading the Griffins is 22 year old forward Jan Mursak who leads the Griffins with 4 goals and 7 points and shares the league lead with 2 SH goals. Rookie Brent Raedeke is coming off a strong two goal game, as is Ilair Filppula. Thomas McCollum is expected to get the start with Joey MacDonald likely to still be in Detroit as cover for Jimmy Howard. Stars D Robidas suspended one game for boarding misconduct
Aussie_Wing replied to edicius's topic in General
Looked lilke a decent hit to me, didn't deserve a suspension IMO. I appreciated the PIM's for my fantasy team (although Brown's game misconduct already sealed that category win), I didn't appreciate him missing a game due to suspension. -
A year long knee-jerk reaction? Interesting.

Great job kook. Friday, October 29 Montreal at NY Islanders Carolina at NY Rangers Philadelphia at Pittsburgh (x2) Buffalo at Atlanta Edmonton at Chicago New Jersey at Anaheim Saturday, October 30 Nashville at Detroit Pittsburgh at Carolina Florida at Montreal Boston at Ottawa NY Islanders at Philadelphia NY Rangers at Toronto Buffalo at Dallas Atlanta at St. Louis Chicago at Minnesota Columbus at Colorado Tampa Bay at Phoenix Washington at Calgary New Jersey at Los Angeles Anaheim at San Jose Edited because I forgot my x2. Pittsburgh always beat Philly!
-
Howard and Larsson next season IMO. Maybe McCollum if he shows major improvement in the AHL, although he ideally needs another year.
-
Kronwall's been declining for...18 months? Is he ever going to get back to the level he was once at?
-
How good is Bobby Ryan? Wow. Maybe one day he'll be a Wing.
-
Edmonton are shocking. There's a lot of ordinary teams out there...
-
My fantasy team is so inconsistent, having Miller and Hiller, both on sucky teams, doesn't help.
-
12 again, solid as ever, I'll take it!

Not sure what the deal in NZ is. In Australia we get 2 live games each week on Tuesday and Wednesday. In the opening week we had 4 games, pity it wasn't like that every week. I couldn't handle the lack of hockey so I purchased GCL.

Some nice quotes here: Link As for the previous game: -
Milwaukee Admirals (1-1-1-1) @ Grand Rapids Griffins (2-1-0-1) 7:00 pm EDT Tomas Tatar PREVIEW: With two consecutive wins against the Moose, the Griffins have moved to 4th spot in the North Division. Their opponent for tonight, Milwaukee, are in last place in the West Division with just 4 points from 4 games. Rookie Brendan Smith has made an impressive start to his AHL career as he's on PPG pace, and since stepping into the line-up Travis Ehrhardt has performed well. Logan Pyett has missed the past 2 games with a slight injury but the offensive defenceman should be back tonight. If he is, Brian Lashoff will likely be scratched. In the most recent game, rookie Joakim Andersson recoreded his first point, a goal, in North America and offensive dynamos Jan Mursak and Tomas Tatar each have 3 points through four games. Joey MacDonald is expected to get the start tonight and with 3 games in as many nights, the Griffins will rotate goaltenders. With such a busy schedule over the coming days, hopefully rookie Willie Coetzee will get another look as to this point he only played on opening night. Go the Griffs, go Jan! POSSIBLE LINE-UP: Pare - Emmerton - Mursak Minard - Johnson - Filppula Tatar - Andersson - Owens Straub - Raedeke - Tardif Meech - Smith Kolosov - Pyett Amadio - Ehrhardt (Lashoff/Piche) MacDonald McCollum TEAM LEADERS: Goals: Smith (2), 8 tied (1) Assists: Tatar, Johnson (3), 6 tied (2) Points: Smith, Johnson (4), Filppula, Mursak, Tatar (3) +/-: Tatar (+2), Ehrhardt (+1) PIM's: Andersson (8), Smith, Kolosov, Amadio (7) GAME CENTRE: Game Centre Radio Link Drumnj's stream
