Agree with you mate, used to love the guy, now sadly it seems as though he's destined to throw away what should be the prime years of his carrer due to an unfortunate situation.

I’m a bit undecided on this one. While Meech is a good ‘acquisition’ for the Griffins, I’m not sure that I wouldn’t rather have someone like Piche or Ehrhardt getting regular ice-time instead. Meech doesn’t project to be with the Wings for much longer, while a few of these other guys if given the right shot might prove to be something down the track. Meech had a goal and an assist tonight, but also had 3 minor penalties, something he’s having trouble with in the early going this season. Meech, Smith, Kolosov, Lashoff, Pyett, Piche, Amadio, Ehrhardt, that’s 8 defenseman, without even including Janik who will return shortly. There’s a logjam. I guess his veteran leadership is a steadying influence for the young Griffins team, especially without Janik.

Pretty sure he's just been a healthy scratch, disappointing, because in his first game he looked very impressive to me. I wonder if this will force the Wings' hands and send him back to juniors. IMO he should be given at least 5 or so games to determine whether that call needs to be made, but maybe Fraser has already made his mind up.

Very disappointing loss, at home, to a team that had been struggling in the early going. Jan Mursak! 2+2 in 5 games, very nice start.

Have a blast Travis! Keep an eye on the offensive pairings because I think Fraser mixed them up a bit last game. Spewing I'll be out for this one and won't be able to see it. Good luck to the boys.

I like Kopecky, and was one of the few who were disappointed to lose him. That does makes a lot of sense.

It's not entirely surprising though given their vast overhaul during the summer. They have 3 rookies and 3 new veteran additions, while on the back end if the line-up is as listed below, only two were regulars last season. The Griffins travel to Manitoba to try and hand the Moose their first loss of the season. Offensively, Ilari Filppula has made a strong start on a line with Johnson and Minard, while Jan Mursak kicked started his season with a goal and assist against Rockford. More is expected from captain Jamie Tardif and Jordan Owens, both are without a point through the first two games. MacDonald is expected to get the start tonight and will be looking to get his first win in a Griffins uniform for many years.
