Attention everyone! Any kind souls out there! Is there any way to follow by radio stream? For years I would go through WXYT but lately it hasn't been letting me, seemingly because I live in Australia. Surely there's got to be a way to listen online?
-
Hiller, my boy, in my fantasy team, might struggle with that D in front of him. Lets hope he does tonight, although he often plays well when facing a ton of shots. He'd want to this season. Wings take this 4-2. Goals by Hank x2, Franzen and Rafalski.

Abdelkader out, Bertuzzi questionable for tomorrow's opener

Yet being able to call up Maltby, on the same salary as Ritola, makes sense how... -
Wow, you completely misunderstood! Calle is a gun!

I'm really not sure. I was thinking about it, and I think putting Smith with the steady Janik might be the best way to go, at least initially. Pyett is probably responsible enough in his own zone to be paired with Smith. Perhaps something like... Janik - Meech Pyett - Smith Lashoff - Amadio And also, if Maltby is recalled by Detroit, and Minard still isn't right to go after his PS injury, perhaps Meech could fill in on forward? He gives us that versatility, and it's not like we don't have enough defensive options. -

Why the HECK didn't we put Draper/Abby on short term IR and give Ritola a week to prove himself? Gosh. -

Nice post, but as for Owens, people are getting all excited about him and are down on Ritola's offensive potential and yet he's a year older than Ritz and hasn't put up the points he has. Mursak will be up next year, but I must be alone in thinking why rush Tatar, give him a 3rd season in GR unless he shows that he's too good for the league (70 points).
-
Yeah, good work mate. A bit confused are we?
-
Who's saying that? He's got the potential to be a success story, one we sent packing for in all likeliness, a single season of Miller.
-
You masde it clear that nothing Ritola does, even 149 goals and 633 assists, will make you realise that this could well come back to hurt us. If he does develop into a scoring machine and a terrific NHL'er, the Wings management won't be at all at fault, because he does so in a different system. The Wings brass failer to recognise his talent wouldn't be their fault at all. So Miller is effectively the difference between winning and losing this season?
-
See, showing you're true colours there. I mean seriously. He puts up those kinds of numbers and you'd still be saying we made no mistake. I love it how in the eyes of some NOTHIING Holland and co. will ever be a mistake.
-
Excellent post, very well said.
-
Uhhh I understood you. But you're making it sound as though because Miller can PK in the NHL right now, Ritola should've been moved. Who says Ritola can't? Who says Ritola doesn't have much higher upside than Miller? Proof will be in the pudding, and we'll come away looking pretty foolish IMO.
-
Yeah man, with Helm, Abdelkader, Eaves, Filppula, Cleary, Draper, we're so short on PK options!!
-
Because we just lost a very, very solid prospect for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Gosh I hate waivers, and I hate this aspect about the NHL. How you can put years and years od development into someone and have them lost for nothing. Ritola can clearly play in the NHL, he has a great skill level, a good work ethic, he'll hit, he can play on both special teams, and he's only 23. He'll prove to be a very solid NHL player and we've lost him for nothing, all so Miller can spend one more season with Detroit. What a joke. Ah I see, we've never made a mistake? Gotcha.
-
He'll be a nice waiver pick-up for someone.
-
At this very moment, couldn't give a stuff.

Sometimes I hate sport, sometimes I really, really hate it. LOL, he really had a chance didn't he?

I thought this was a good idea to look forward to the 2010/11 season. Certainties: (either returning or arriving) Mursak RW Emmerton LW/C Tatar C/RW Pare C Andersson C Kolosov D Smith D Pyett D Ehrhardt D Piche D McCollum G Likely: Owens LW Coetzee RW Lashoff D Uncertain: Ritola LW Tardif RW Armstrong RW Williams RW Janik D Lemieux C Oulahen C Johnston C Departed: Abdelkader C Kindl D Ole-Kristian Tollefsen D Larsson G So that leaves us with something like...: Mursak - Emmerton - Coetzee Tatar - Andersson - Pare Owens - Oulahen - Armstrong (Basically need at least 4 new signing, or some of the uncertain lot to return). I don't fancy Emmerton as our 1st line centre, he'd get destroyed IMO. We really lack offensive fire-power, hopefully Williams returns but I doubt it. We need more proven AHL scorers, at least one, preferrably two. Smith - Pyett Kolosov - Lashoff Ehrhardt - Piche If Janik returns, bump everyone down a spot. I really like the look of that defence, especially if Janik returns, which I think he will.
-
Will be a great player. Hopefully he scores 30 goals and puts up close to 60 points this season in GR. Next season he'll be a full time Wing.
-
Thought we should discuss our best defensive prospect in the 2006/07 OHL season. He got off to a slow start to the season, only putting up 3 points in his first 7 games, but tonight he has 2 assists, is +1 and has 2 PIM’s.
-
It is the last year, because next year he will have to clear waivers, and there's no way that's happening. Mursak is a gem, been saying it for years. Very dynamic hockey player.
-
Abdelkader, one of my favourites, that hit and willingness to fight a prime example why!

Seriously, how good is Mursak?!
