He's an outstanding asset on the PP and given more ice-time there's no reason why he couldn't crack 30 goals and 70 points. I love the little guy. Hudler - Filppula - Eaves. Yes please.

A healthy scratch again tonight, sucks for him. I've seen two Flyers games since he was traded and he was scratched for each one, disappointing as I wanted to see him play.

Flip needs to centre the line though. He's much more effective at centre as opposed to wing, allows him to be more attacking and play to his strengths.

Wow, Flipper with Hank! So many people on this forum were questioning why this combination never happened and now it's set to. I like it, Hank's clearly been underperforming and a lot of that is probably due to his linemates and the completely different styles of play they have. Flip plays a similar style and the added skill level should suit them both, I think it'll work but it's certainly worth a shot. The top line is working so no need to adjust that, the 2nd though has been less than stellar. I agree with people that Flip and Bert looked good, certainly against Chicago, and I think Miller had no business being on that line. Personally I thought something like this was worth a shot: Franzen - Dats - Homer Bert - Hank - Willy Eaves - Flip - Cleary Miller - Helm - Draper

Although it was clear he wasn't a part of the Red Wings' plans for the future, it's still sad to see him go. I always liked his upside and late in 2007/08 and most of last season he really showed some signs to indicate that he could reach his potential. I hope he can turn his career around and enjoy success in the playoffs, at least he'll be there unlike the Griffins.

I'm loving the Cleary-Hank-Willy line, full of excellence. Especially love Cleary's 0-1-1 and -2 from the past 5 games playing on the 2nd line.
