Awesome! I have a feeling that Mule won't miss a beat and will open the scoring tonight. -
Wings will win 2-1, they'll absolutely smother crosby & co with team defense, but the pens will put one in off of the many powerplays they get. Mule will light the lamp at least once.

McCarty, he really hasn't made any contributions, Maltby is a very valuble on the PK, and Helm has been too good to bench

Although Kronwall and Nick have been better, you can even make a legit case for Rafalski. He has been excellent defensively, and has done an awesome job offensively as well. -
I was just thinking about that 5 minutes ago! I haven't heard anything, but it would be sad if Pittsburgh can fill their stadium with 13,000 for essentially the same thing, and we don't even do it.

Zetterberg or Osgood are both fine calls. I'd expect it to go to Zetterberg considering how many lopsided scores the wings have had. Dats also deserves honorable mention.

I very strongly disagree with this call. I agree that players shouldn't be able to just maul the goalie when he leaves the crease, but he should be subject to more abuse. What Holmstrom did was nothing, he didn't in any way effect Fleury's ability to make the save, even if he was in the crease, and the fact that he wasn't in the crease just makes the call worse. Pierre Maguire nailed it by saying that there wouldn't have been a call if it wasn't Holmstrom. -
That was very surprising to me too. Roberts is a hungry veteran, and well I don't exactly know anything about Hall, I don't see any reason why he'd get the nod. Are the any Pens fans that can expain?

word. I'd also like to scrap the instigator rule.

I think it's the right call not to play him. Way too many great players (i.e. Lindross) have ruined their careers by rushing back from head injuries, and thats the last thing I want to see happen to Mule.

I don't think I could wait another day. Pens show a little stage fright and get pushed around by the wings in this game. Wings 4 Cleary, Dats, Hank, Rafalski Pens 2 Malkin, Gonchar

I wish Konstantinov could get better compensation, but the jury made the right desiscion here.

I've been thinking about this for a while. It would be awesome to have a young superstar goalie. Even if Ozzie has a solid year in 08-09 I think we all know he doesn't have a whole ton left in the tank. Finding stability in net with Dats and Zetterberg leading the way for the next 6-8 years will keep the wings atop the league for a long time.

You can't blame the league for it. The Penguins have a team with a surplus of young talent that hasn't been seen since the Oiler's dynasty. They really do have the potential to be a dynasty, and it's the leagues best chance at climbing up the professional sports latter. -
Hossa's gone for sure, Malkin could cost HUGE money if he has a good finals, over 10 million probably. They're probably going to have less firepower going into next year, because I'm guessing Malkin, Crosby, and Fleury will cost a combined 25 million. However, I think they have such a good base with those three Malone and Staal that they won't be urt too badly by the departures

This could be huge. Cleary just doesn't seem right, and while it could very well just be a slump, this could be what he needs to break out. I'll go out on a limb and predict that Dan Cleary opens the scoring of the 2008 Stanley Cup Finals

All though Kronwall's hits are a bit questionable Pens fans should now that when it comes to delivering bone-jarring hits Orpirk does not deserved to be mentioned in the same breath as Kronwall. -
Did anyone hear Bettman on Stoney and Wojo yesterday? He claimed that the schedule was set in stone a year an advance and completely unchangable, which I think we all know is a load of BS Personally I hate the NBA, but it is still incredibly frustrating that the league is willing to screw the many people who are Pistons fans. Espeacially when you consider that the NHL is on VS., and the NBA games are on ABC, they're going to have quite a tough time getting viewers.
