So true. Teams now are playing NOT to lose. They know they have a great chance in the SO, so why waste energy in OT attack while you can get a nice shot in SO? A bad idea from the league (the worst being that damn trapazoid rule).

If the game goes to OT, you can bet there will be a shootout. Why waste effort with seven other bodies on the ice when you have a de facto breakaway you can scroe on Another reason I hate shootouts. Teams don't go full on in OT and wait for the shootout.
