Lightning penalized for delay of game (holding the puck). Wings PP.

From what I have read/heard, this sounds like some person returning to the scene of the crime (remember, Sean's home was broken in a few days prior, so it's possible the same person came back for more). Sean heard something, grabbed a machete (since he cannot legally own a gun due to a prior gun offense), and went to see what the issue was. Two shots were fired, one got Sean in the leg and the other hit a wall. The bullet damage the femoral artery, the majory vessel in the leg. He probably lost so much blood before he got treatment that his body went into severe shock, which, sadly, he never recovered. I think the thug was surprised that someone was in the house and fired his weapon. I hope that they find the lowlife and prosecute him/her to the fullest extent of the law. RIP Sean, you finally started turning your life around and this happens

Seems like someone in the Flyers org is failing at leadership if they've had four suspensions for their players. I doubt the org is telling their players to be like this, no one can be that stupid. Maybe they told their players to be tougher and they took it a little too far. Who knows. But someone, whether it be the team captain, coach, gm or owner needs to pound it in the player's skulls to get their act together, or at very least, be mindful of the player you're gonna hit. If he's vulnerable, either give up the hit or let off quite a bit. I would hate to see a player permenently injured by a hit like that, but I fear it will happer if there isn't some for of discipline from the players. I think the hit looked worst that it was, but it was still cheap and dirty, IMO. Wish it was more than a 2 game suspension, maybe 5 or 10, but definately more than 2. Well, we'll just have to see if everyone wises up or not.

Nice to hear that the refs are continuing their BS streak, I see. Mickey was right when he said that the Wings can't get physical with the Preds because the refs will call them on some phantom BS. Sad to see this in the "new" NHL. Damn.
