2011 FIA Formula One World Championship

Memorial Day is one of the biggest days in motorsports, as three of the year's biggest races are on: the Monaco Grand Prix, the Indianapolis 500-Mile Race, and the Coca-Cola (nee World) 600. For this year, I'll post the full results of all three races, starting with the Monaco Grand Prix: 1) #1 Sebastian Vettel, RBR-Renault (2:09:38.373) 2) #5 Fernando Alonso, Ferrari (+1.1 secs) 3) #4 Jenson Button, McLaren-Mercedes (+2.3 secs) 4) #2 Mark Webber, RBR-Renault (+23.1 secs) 5) #16 Kamui Kobayashi, Sauber-Ferrari (+26.9 secs) 6) #3 Lewis Hamilton, McLaren-Mercedes (+47.2 secs) 7) #14 Adrian Sutil, Force India-Mercedes (+1 Lap) 8) #9 Nick Heidfeld, Renault (+1 Lap) 9) #11 Rubens Barrichello, Williams-Cosworth (+1 Lap) 10) #18 Sebastien Buemi, STR-Ferrari (+1 Lap) 11) #8 Nico Rosberg, Mercedes (+2 Lap) 12) #15 Paul di Resta, Force India-Mercedes (+2 Lap) 13) #21 Jarno Trulli, Lotus-Renault (+2 Lap) 14) #20 Heikki Kovalainen, Lotus-Renault (+2 Lap) 15) #25 Jerome d'Ambrosio, Virgin-Cosworth (+3 Lap) 16) #23 Vitantonio Liuzzi, HRT-Cosworth (+3 Lap) 17) #22 Narain Karthikeyan, HRT-Cosworth (+4 Lap) 18) #12 Pastor Maldonado, Williams-Cosworth (Accident) Ret) #10 Vitaly Petrov, Renault (Accident) Ret) #19 Jaime Alguersuari, STR-Ferrari (Accident) Ret) #6 Felipe Massa, Ferrari (Accident) Ret) #7 Michael Schumacher, Mercedes (Airbox fire) Ret) #24 Timo Glock, Virgin-Cosworth (Suspension) DNS) #17 Sergio Perez, Sauber-Ferrari Sergio Perez crashed during the qualifying session at the chicane at the exit of the tunnel, and sustained a concussion, and thus did participate in the event. He's expected to drive at Canada in a week. Lewis Hamilton was nailed twice in the race for avoidable contact, one with Felipe Massa at about the mid-point of the race, and again with Pastor Maldonado at the end, with the 2nd accident incurring a 20 second drive-through penalty. Adrian Sutil also got a drive-through penalty in the race for contact at the Hairpin. The race was red flagged with about 5 laps left in the race due to an accident at the Swimming Pool complex that required rescue teams to extract Vitaly Petrov, who was unhurt in the incident. During the red flag, the teams were permitted to change tyres and perform other work on the cars; that proved to be advantageous to Vettel, who was on tyres that were about 60 laps old. Worst Alternate Jerseys in Hockey History

That Preds' jersey looked like they dangled several newborns over a plain white jersey with the logo on it and screamed "s*** DAMN YOU s***!", then rubbed it together to get that color.

Let the octo fly! Let's go Red Wings!
  7. When the f*** was the last time a player got hurt skating over octopus slime, Gary? I've seen players spit and shoot snot bullets on the ice many, many, many times. Are you going to ban players from spitting and snot-shooting, Betty? Such bulls*** from him. LET THE OCTO FLY, DAMMIT!
  8. #1: f*** PETA. If throwing a dead cat on the ice would help the Wings win the Stanley Cup, I'll try to throw as many of them on the ice as I can, and I know many of my fellow Wings fans would do the same. PETA is nothing more than a bunch of ******* attention whores masquerading as an animal rights group. #2: Love the article from Kuklas Korner! Epic LOLs there.

    Unbelievably bad goal.

No surprise that the Hawks are getting favors from the league, they don't want that franchise to be one of 5 teams to fail to defend their Cup. Can't have that now, can we .
