-
RAFFY!!! What a play!!! 0-1 Wings!!!
-
Whew, Wings win it 2-3 over the Blue Jackets. The Todd is credited with the GWG.
-
Jackets score, cutting the lead to 2-3 Wings.
-
I don't think Bert stick to the head was what hurt Mason initially. Seemed like he hurt his left shoulder judging by the way the trainer was working on him (pulled on his left arm and examined it).

Wow, we actually got a call go our way. Granted, that probably shouldn't be a goal, but how many times has something that shouldn't be a goal (the one where the opposition player redirected the puck into the goal with his hand comes to mind), but it seems like these calls are starting to even out a bit for us now.

KHL backup goalie gets hit in head with stick by opposition fan
commadore183 replied to CenterIce's topic in General
Maybe the KHL should change it's name to the KKHL (Keystone Kops Hockey League). Why the hell would any self-respecting hockey player go there when you got fans running wild in the arenas (smacking goalies with sticks, lighting road flares, etc) and the medical personnel seemingly trained in the 4077 MASH unit (seriously, carrying injured players off the ice in tarps?!)? Screw the money, just say no to the KKHL! -

Sauber has said that he will change the name in due time, but for now, it is still "BMW Sauber F1 Team", powered by Ferrari. -
Granted, Boogaard was suspended yesterday, but I didn't see any topic about it, so here it is. NHL.com Looks like a deserved 2 games. I think it should have been longer, maybe 4 or 5. Boogaard was assessed a 2 minute minor for kneeing. Not sure what happened to Jones as far as whether he came back out or not. Boogaard will be eligible to return on Thursday, which happens to the game with the Red Wings. How does this suspension compare to others in regards to kneeing? I can't really remember when the last suspension came because of kneeing. Maybe make all kneeing an automatic 5 minute penalty and let the ref decide if it warrants a game misconduct. Maybe that, as well as a nice long suspension (5+ games) will help bring down the instances of kneeing (looking at you, Cooke ).

Against the backdrop of weeks of uncertainty about the future of the American team, which had been struggling to get a car ready for the start of the season, sources have revealed team personnel have now been informed they are no longer required as the operation could not continue in its present guise. Looks like Peter and Ken bit off way more than they could chew. Gotta give them props, through, as they wanted to do it from the ground up. Very disappointing. No word on who will take the open grid spot. The FIA could open up a bidding process for it (seems a bit late in the running to do so), or they could give it to this Toyota F1 Racing, er, Stefan GP, team, a team that is backed by Bernie, which, for me, automatically detested me, so I hope the FIA would open it up for a bid, or just leave it empty.
