Empty net CBJ.

No goal. Couldn't see the puck cross the line (that's what I think they reasoned the call).
-
Raffy hurt. Trainer with him to the left corner of Joey. Innocent hit, looked like his knee hit the boards wrong. Ericsson off for roughing. 5v3.

4rd on! Finish them off Wings!

"Dollar hot dog night tonight Murphy!" Anyone else a bit perturbed by how the officials are calling penalties here, stopping play when the wrong team touches the puck? Certainly not their best few nights, IMO.

NHL could lose Air Canada sponsorship over headshots
commadore183 replied to sixer's topic in General
Good, maybe this will make the league take players' health more seriously. Chara should have gotten a game, at least, for shoving Pacioretty, whether to get away from him or to put his head into the stantion. It was stupid, careless and could have had fatal consequences. The league doesn't really give a s*** about headshots, what with piddly suspensions of 4 or fewer games. Just absolutely stupid of the league and someone will probably die before they finally wake up and take this s*** seriously. This is the same as the Bertuzzi/Moore incident. Sure, Bert and Chara didn't mean to break their opponents' necks, but Bert got crucified for it by damn near everyone (as he should), but Chara gets nothing from non-Canadiens fans? Hypocracy. Both are the result of stupid, mindless decisions and both had the victims badly injured. To simply take the blame off of Chara because of "poor rink design" is silly. ALL PLAYER know that there's that barrier between the benches, they pass by it damn near a hundred times a game. If Chara had simply hit Pacioretty but the force of the hit caused Pacioretty to hit that stantion, then I wouldn't have as big of a problem as I do now, but since Chara PUSHED Pacioretty (for whatever reason), the poor guy has a severe concussion and a broken vertebrae in his neck. Remember, if Chara hadn't pushed Pacioretty, the Canadien player would have had a sore hip at worse. It's disgusting how the NHL handled it. Bettman and his cronies need to go before the league can rise from "laughing stock" to "semi-legitimate" in the NA sporting world. -
The most pressure the Wings had this period happens to be at the end. Again. 4th straight loss for the Winged Wheel. Charlie Sheen Award goes to Jonathan Quick. Saggy Yambags goes to the Detroit Red Wings. Final LAK: 2 DET: 1

Let's reunited the Charlie Sheen Line: Cleary-Datsyuk-Hudler.
-
Less than 5 minutes left in regulation. Just need one more goal to get a point.
-
Quick, again, playing great against the Wings (their last game not withstanding) .
-
Doughty skated right into The Todd's elbow and knocked Doughty senseless for a moment.
-
4rd on! Let's become like Charlie Sheen and start winning!
-
That would imply that there's competency in the league's officiating .
-
2-1 LAK. Refs missed a high-sticking against Lids. Shot was deflected in front of Howie, nothing for him.
-
Just saw a replay, apparently tweaked it trying to clear the puck. No one struck him. Looked like he lost and edge and fell backwards into the boards, his right foot caught between his ass and the boards. And he takes a penalty, closing his hand over the puck. Wings PK.

Quick keeping the Kings in the game. Big save against Kronner. EDIT: Figures, Wings get the good chances, but the Kings bury it a minute later. 1-1 tie.

2nd on. Let's pot a few more goals here, Wings!
