Blah, I change briefly to Top Gear on BBC America, and the Wings not only get scored on, but also go back on the PK. Not a good end to the period. 1-1 tie at the end of the 1st.

The 2010 FIA Formula One World Championship
commadore183 replied to commadore183's topic in Other Sports
The FIA has released their 2010 FIA Formula One World Championship Entry List. One item of note is that Manor Grand Prix has apparently changed their team name to Virgin Racing (thanks to backing from Richard Branson's Virgin Group). Also, no Sauber on the list, but the FIA noted that they will announce what will happen to Panasonic Toyota Racing's entry. It's possible that Sauber will be granted an entry then. I'll update the first post after this is posted. -
That's the infuriating thing about officiating and discipline in the NHL today is the lack of consistency with punishment. Cooke got away with how many knee-on-knee hits this year? Three? And yet, he gets nailed with an elbow to the head suspension (which is the right call, by the way). I wonder if Cooke's idol is Pronger ? League needs to be more consistent with the penalties and suspension if they want to stop plays like that or the knee-to-knee ones

Finally the Wings get a win (funnily enough, last win was against the Canadiens in a shootout). Wings are now, what, 12-9-4, 28 points? Shame Bert's goal doesn't count in official stats, but it doesn't matter as he bags the win for us.

Going to the Skills Competit... er, shootout.

C'mon Wings, finish this in OT!!!
