2009 FIA Formula One World Championship Season

Renault given 2 year suspended ban Renault is pretty much on probation until 2011, like how McLaren is on probation until the end of the year for lying to the stewards at Australia earlier this year. An indefinite ban on any motorsport involvement for Flavio. His involvement in motorsports for now on will only be as a fan, and maybe only from his home. Piquet appologized to the WMSC for his involvement in the Singapore stunt, but was given immunity for his cooperation. The WMSC found that Alonso had no involvement in this mess, so no punishment for him. Renault did not get a fine out of this, so I guess that's a bit of a win for them. FIA announces 19-race 2010 calendar Looks like a NA GP returns for the neighbors up north At least there's a NA round. Hope that the negotiations with FOM go well (unfortunately, that may mean a big $$$$$$ loss for Montreal, but that's par for the course for all of the GP races the past few years, thanks to Bernie's extortion, er, sanctioning fee ). EDIT: Yesh, a day after I posted this, I just now realize there STILL is no French Grand Prix. Damn
