I think that Vladdy's number will be retired along with Aurie's unofficially for a long time (at least until the Illitch's sell the team to another family that doesn't honor them). But what about Fisch's #2?

I live in Mid-Michigan, where celebrity sightings are few and far between (Kid Rock stopping at a gas station 20 miles away to buy cigarettes made the paper), but once I saw Draper and McCarty driving through downtown. Also, one time buying gas, I was wearing my Red Wings hat, and the guy behind the counter asks if I was a Wings fan, I say yes, and he tells me that he's Ted Lindsay's grandson. We chat for a few minutes about the Wing's playoff chances (it was early last season). -
Need I remind you that Edmonton just traded M. A. Bergeron TO the Isles, for a prospect? Doesn't sound like the move of a team that's selling...

This happened last year to a golie in my fantasy league, but Yahoo gave him a GAA of 0.92 (1 GA in 65 minutes), and a SV% of 1.000. But, that was just Yahoo's fantasy stats, I don't know if the NHL stats would be the same. P.S. DaKineMaui, please take the thermometer off you sig, it makes me weep...

I remember reading a story about either Probie or Kocur, and the reporter said that the skin by their knuckles felt callussed because of all the scar tissue that has built up, but I don't think I've heard much about pain... is it possible you might've broken/fractured your hand and just though it was a minor problem so it never quite healed correctly?

It seems to me that the Williams and Eager part of the trade has been unanamously shot down, but some are considering the Lang for Knuble part of it. The Flyers cap hit currently sits at about $41,960,400 minus Knuble's 1.52 and add Lang's 3.8, and you end up with $44,240,400. Discussion over.
