i dont agree that the graphite sticks are the down fall to scoring in the nhl, but i still feel that wood is the only true way to play hockey. I mean come on, its the player, not the stick. there is to much emphasis on the players stick than the players skill for how good he shoots. i register the hardest shot on my team and im the ONLY guy on my team that even uses a wood stick. Al was a beast with the lumber, and it was all him. every MPH was from his skill, not some technology making him look better than he really is. At least for amatuer hockey, if you need composite sticks to make your shot better then your just a panzie who wants to shoot like the real men who can shoot just as hard or harder with a 20 dollar stick compared to your ridiculous 200 dollar waste.

does any one else with basic cable in the detroit metro area randomly have nhl network right now??... because thats how i saw the avery game and nhl network looks pretty sweet (channel 77 just incase anyone is wondering and has my same cable thing)

avery's gordie how hattrick tonite was sick as hell! i loved how before the game even started he was starting s*** slapshot style during warmups it was awesome. the greatest thing is he lived up to the talk, kicked his ass, and scored a goal and an assist on top of it. god i miss that guy, but i still am a fan.

like last season?? hasek is a slow starter, this same thing happened last season as well. It is way to early for anything like a starter change when a team hasn't even played 10 games yet, let alone the goalie in question. I mean with this logic, we should make osgood starter with draper first line center and put dats on the grind line. i mean obviously draper has proven hes the better goal scorer right???

i had my run with a hespeler 2 piece, an easton 2 pieace, a hespeler patriot, a orange synergy grip(pro stock), response, and then finally a reebok. that was it for me i probably blew away roughly 800 dollars in 2 years on sticks. no thanks. as a very scrappy playing defensemen that loves nothing more than blasting rockets off from the point, ive never been more satified with using any stick than an easton classic. at 20 a piece, their perfect. do i break them?? ehhh every 20 games. but with the expensive sticks??? every ten games. and on instance with the synergy... 1 game. im a proud supporter of the wood stick. and i stand by it as the best type of stick there ever was, is, or going to be.

does anyone know a really durable wood brand?? ive been searching for a good brand to last for a while and havent had much luck. i like sherwoods for their price but being a defensemen i find them spliting in half with shots from the blue line left and right. I just bought an easton classic and im going to give them a whirl. but anyway, does anyone know of a good durable brand of wood stick?

after what pronger and neidermayer did to holmstrom, it made me just sick how noone did s*** after words, just looked the other way. On my team if someone did that to one of my teammates even if i was in the pentaly box already i would jump over the boards and kick the living s*** out of them. And i wouldnt expect anything less from any team that plays hockey period. We need someone someone to settle the scores here in detroit, i completley agree

ehh, this sucks i feel he is severely underrated about how much he means to this team. oh well though i dont even blame him. he couldnt get the money here that he could there, and you know the whole saying, if you cant beat em, join em. and that he did.
