  1. Sure they might. They did it to McCarty. This is a business first and foremost and if they feel that gives them the best chance to win (and make the playoffs) then it will be done.

Cap Situation re: Franzen returns to lineup

Wow, I have learned nothing! In fact, I'm more confused now!

Cap Situation re: Franzen returns to lineup

I think they will be over 1 million the cap! Not sure though, I started a thread about this and nobody posted in it, so I guess nobody is really sure. I guess we just have to wait and see.
  6. Yeah, I'm sure Rafi will waive his no-trade clause to leave his hometown (detroit) and go to a team that is definitely out of the playoffs! lol. Good luck w/ that.

Who do we put on the trading block?

You mean Hudler's Rights, Flip, Ericcson, Tatar, a 1st rounder, 2nd rounder? I'd do it!

    Kovalchuk headed out of Atlanta

If Chicago did get him that be funny as hell if we signed him in the offseason!

Tatar Steals the #1 Wings Prospect Ranking from Kindl

I wonder if this isn't so much as Tatar taking the #1 as Kindl giving it up... hhmm.
  10. Oh please. We went through this last year. He'll be fine.
  11. So I know there are a bunch of number crunchers out there! Who do you see being traded or waived/sent down to get us under the Salary Cap once Franzen and Lilja and the rest all return to the lineup? I would think it would take a big salary. Not sure on the numbers, but possibily Maltby? Not sure what he is making or what we need to cut to get Lilja into the lineup.

Who do we put on the trading block?

He's not. 3 other players are.

Who do we put on the trading block?

I'd consider Zetterberg for Kovalchuck if it meant we locked Kovalchuck up LONG TERM!

Who do we put on the trading block?

I don't know what's worse. This ^^^^, or watching Nancy Pelosi sitting behind Obama as he gives the State Of The Union Address!!!

Who do we put on the trading block?

The real question is how do we fit Lilja under the Cap. Somebody has to go. Probably Maltby. What's his salary? They are going to have to cut a lot. And half this team has No-Trade Clauses.

Howard the rest of the way

No. His cap hit is way too large, I think close to what Kovalchuck makes. Plus he is playing for a Western Conference foe.

Howard the rest of the way

Good point. For me anyway, if the other team scores 2 goals I get real worried and wonder if we can even get a point.

Howard the rest of the way

Just admit it. We need Kovalchuck.

    The Best Hockey Commercials

Not sure if these have been mentioned yet, but I loved all the Rory Fitzpatrick attack ads!! OH Man were they funny!! Here's one of them.
  23. I finally timed this!! Last night I watched the end of the Pistons game. Guess what? It took OVER fifteen minutes to finish the last 2:27 of the game!! 15 MINUTES TO PLAY 2:27 of Basketball! And not to mention all the fouls and commercials that really just slow the crap out of the game! I think the NBA should reduce the number of timeouts each team has. I mean that is riduclous. The NBA players are good enough that they should just play the last couple of minutes out w/o having to call 45 timeouts to go talk to the coach. Hockey is skate, skate, skate! The last 2:27 of a hockey game usually takes, well 2:27 to play unless there is offsides or a penalty call, etc. I am feeling really spoiled watching hockey I guess, and it has really made it hard for me to watch the NBA regularly, especially the end of games! Even the ones that aren't close are brutal to watch. That being said, I still love to watch Baseball!! Go figure!!!!
  24. Wow. Great source on that too! That's pretty crazy when you think about it. I never thought it'd only be 11 minutes of actual play but it totally makes sense.
