Wow. Now I'd love to have him. But why trade for him when he is set to be a UFA at season's end? Anyway, not gonna happen. He will be a lifelong Thrasher.

  7. Actually a lot of those appear to be wrong. Franzen's cap hit is like 3.9 or something not 5. That's a huge difference.
  8. Zetterberg's cap hit isn't 7.75 though. I think some of those may be wrong.

Ericsson, Helm, and Howard. Helm will be the new Draper but better at most things except faceoffs. Well, it'd be great if he could be as good on faceoffs as Draper has been throughout this career.............

    Tigers are finished!

And another thing timothy, I don't agreed w/ the bolded part at all. The Tigers were playing well enough all year to win the division. It was their fault they blew it towards the end, but to say they had no business getting that close to a playoff spot is just ridiculous. They blew it in the end, plain and simple. They had every right to be that close.

    Tigers are finished!

They have a lot of dead weight in pitching thanks to DD. That's where all the money is going. To pitchers that don't even play. And trading Granderson and Jackson who make nearly nothing compared to our pitching roster that can't even pitch in the bigs. It's a joke. I realize that they couldn't trade Willis, Bonderman, Robertson, etc, but come on.....Jackson!!! We needed to hold on to him. I would rather see Granderson go than Jackson. Granderson strikes out a lot and is probably overrated in all honesty. And I think it's unacceptable to trade your All-Stars to the Yankees, much less any roster player to the damn Yankees. I hate them. This is just unacceptable.

    Tigers are finished!

http://www.freep.com/article/20091208/SPOR...nderson-Jackson INDIANAPOLIS — From all indications, the Detroit Tigers have agreed to a three-team deal in which they’d send centerfielder Curtis Granderson to the Yankees and right-hander Edwin Jackson to Arizona. The trade would reduce the Tigers' payroll by millions for the next few years. According to foxsports.com and cbssports.com, the deal would bring the Tigers the following four players, all young, low-priced and years away from free agency: • Arizona right-handed starting pitcher Max Scherzer. In his first full big-league season, Scherzer went 9-11 with a 4.12 ERA. He throws hard -- 95-96 m.p.h. with movement. The Diamondbacks have had concerns about his durability and his ability to develop a third pitch to go with his fastball and change-up. • Yankees left-handed reliever Phil Coke. He struggled with home runs this season: 10 allowed in his 60 innings. He was the Yankees’ No. 1 lefty reliever early, then fell behind Damaso Marte. • Yankees minor league centerfielder Austin Jackson. He has never played in the majors, but he played this year at the top level of the minors, Triple-A. Jackson, who bats right-handed, has yet to develop as a power hitter. Would the Tigers play him regularly in center next season as a rookie? • Arizona left-handed reliever Daniel Schlereth. His stuff is tremendous: a fastball up to 94 m.p.h., and a curve described as knee-buckling. At times, he has struggled to command his fastball. The trade hadn’t been announced as of 3 p.m., apparently because Arizona officials hadn’t completed a review of medical records of the players they’d receive. In addition to Jackson, Arizona reportedly would receive right-handed pitcher Ian Kennedy from the Yankees. Tigers management believes it must reduce the payroll for next season in part because the club will be hit anew by the economic woes of Detroit and Michigan.

Are Any of These Teams for Real?

  23. Well I kept hearing all the hype about this boxing tilt and so I had to find a free live stream online to watch it (since I wasn't paying $$ for a PPV) and let me tell you, I think I found a new Sport!! The match was great and Pacquiao is awesome. So since the fight, I have been downloading all the fights I can find online. I am not into MMA, but really like boxing. So far, Pacquiao VS Hatton (that was a quick KO by Manny!!), Mayweather VS Marquez, and of course Foreman VS Ali (yet to watch)!! So now I'm really looking forward to Pacquiao VS Mayweather Jr. Or if that doesn't happen then Pacquiaro VS Sugar Shane Mosley!
  24. Pacquiao-Mayweather fight deal nears‎ Woo-hoo. Who wins that fight??
