This is a great post! You know the way people want the Wings to "own up" or whatever in the media could cause some serious damage in the locker-room (one thing the Wings' have prided themselves upon for YEARS!).

Why not look at the glass half-full? How many posts and crossbars have we hit in the last 5 games? I just don't see the point in our players losing their confidence or shouting off to the media in a way that portrays them losing their confidence. So if people are really really looking at this start as a way the rest of the season will go, then the West will be w/o Detroit in the Playoffs with one of the AVS/OIL/COY/KINGS taking their place. PLEASE people. Step up off that ledge my friend! (this post wasn't a shot at you ShanahanMan, you're a great poster and fan).

One could argue that Detroit has been sucessful because of thier depth. Who in the last 5 seasons besides Hossa was the "Ovechkin" or "Brodeur" type player that could alone win the Wings games??? Yzerman and Fedorov were the last besides Hossa I'd put in that Category followed by Zetterberg and Lidstrom has a special way of keeping us in any game along w/ helping us win a game. We are a depth team. Sure we have the guys like Dats/Zetts/Rafi/Lids but they like to setup more than just score. We win w/ 3rd and 4th lines playing better than the enemies 3rd and 4th lines a lot of the time. Let's hope Zetterberg picks it up and starts burying some pucks.

Please. This is just annoying to me. I guess I'm the only one not in full panic mode about this team and this year's start.

Dish Network. I think it's NHL Network. But I really notice it when CBC is being feed through NHL Network. The commercials SPIKE like no other. I know commercials are louder than programming on most channels, but I am talking HUGE difference here.

So I have the NHL Network now and I have been watching the Hockey Night In Canada shows and games on Saturday nights for the past couple of weeks. What is really irritating is I have to turn the TV up almost all the way when HNIC is on!! And it's only that feed, the commercials jump back to normal sound, and I have to turn the TV back down again! Has anybody else noticed this??

Suprised nobody else is noticing this. I think it's the NHL Network in general.

Did anybody catch Kris Draper on NHL Live today? It was a pretty decent interview, but nothing new or shocking and all answers he gave were ones you'd expect a hockey player to say. The most interesting thing he said was they expect to be without Franzen for 3-4 months. I find that pretty optimistic (especially if it's 3)!! He also said Datsyuk had a full practice Monday, day off Tuesday and full practice today (both being full contact, etc) First line = Zetterberg/Datsyuk/Holmstrom
