I mean he really thinks he'll be able to play that long, and hell who am I or the NHL to say he can't. Of course, the Rangers would be smart to make this a 2-way deal. Why did you do this? Yeah. I agree, all he did was float around the last couple years he was here (by float around I mean he was non-effective in the playoffs and playing the circle). I will admit, it's been great to see him put up points the last couple of seasons. He's not even had really good ice time, yet put up really good numbers. If memory serves me correctly, Shanny's first year in NY he was hailed and expected to produce some pretty big numbers. He was also expected to help lead that team, which had Jagr as their Captian. It was reported Shanny did just that, hell he should have been named the Captain of THAT NY Ranger's Team, but wasn't. It seems the team started spliting. The bottom line here folks; Shanny should have been given more credit for what he did w/ that lockerroom. BOTTOM LINE. Still would like to see Shanny in Philly this season, sorry guys!!

You know F.Michael, that was one thing I thought of right away too. If we are losing so much upfront, there needs to be a performance increase from the back-end. With our top 6, we should be way better than last year. Consider last year an off-year (:crosses fingers:).
