Well, teams would get a chance to claim then I think. Maybe not. I guess I am not sure. Plus, doesn't it work that if a team claims a player (Satan for example) from the Pens off re-entry waivers, then the Pens have to pay half the salary, thus the team claiming him gets him for $2 mill instead of $4 mill for the length of the contract? NFM or somebody probably knows this better than I do. Hopefully somebody will chime in.
