Alot of you guys are pretty darn sure the salary cap is going up next year. Boys and girls, its very possible it stays the same or goes down slightly. The cap has a lot to do with the economy and right now its not at its best.

You will get to see Helm get his chance again. Come playoff time, rosters expand and the cap does not effect the playoff season. Helm will be in there every playoff game. He's better off in GR playing 18 min a night then Detroit playing 5-6 a night through the regular season

I do this exact same thing. Never had a problem. The walk is about 10 mins at most. Easy out, you don't have to wait in a parking garage to get out. Just get there early, because the free spots go quick.

Hockeytown before the game. Get there early. You can take the hockeytown shuttle to the game and back again. Or the people mover which is just a couple blocks away. However, after the game you have to go to Cheli's. Across the street from Hockeytown Cafe. Most nights after home games, providing they don't have next day games, you can see many of the players at cheli's. A number of them eat dinner at Cheli's after the games. Have met Nick, Hasek, Z, picture taken with Cheli and seen many more. Always a good time. And while your in the area, you might as well check out greektown. Just a couple blocks away from Cheli's. You can take the people mover again. Good luck have fun.

What I miss most is the competition that is created with the position. Ozzie is at his best when he has to compete for playing time. He was handed the #1 job. Nothing to compete or work hard for at this time. Ozzie has not been good so far. Yes, the defensive holes does not help either. But he has let in to many that should have been stopped. The Tampa game, 1st and 3rd goals should not have gone in. And its been that way almost every game. Its time to create a little competition with Conks and possibly find a way to get Jimmy Howard in a few games, see what he can do. Competition will breed excellence. Out of the 3 goalies, they can get one of them to play better than whats been there so far.
