Campbell will NOT be coming to detroit. He would cost more than Stuart. If the wings don't sign Stu, then I see the wings going with what they have in D. And if needed, trade for another D man at the deadline.
-
NO NO, f*** NO. They already changed from Wales ,Campbell, Norris, Smyth, etc to the east and west, just like NBA, NFL and MLB (which pissed me off). Leave hockey the f*** ALONE.
-
Hope they lose Hossa too.

One thing that was discussed more than once the last couple days on XM204, is that the pens have yet to spend to the cap limit in the new cap era. And even if the cap is increased for next year, the Pens will be unable to match the cap. Apparently the Igloo and other revenue areas are unable to make the money to allow the Pens to spend to the cap. This won't change until the new stadium is bulit and that is still a couple years away. If they can resign flower, they might not be able to sign hossa or malone. If they can, sign either or both, there depth will be gone, because thats all they will be able to sign.

Standing Room tickets still available for Game 2
Blood On The Ice replied to sixer's topic in General
Game 5 sold out. However, the dirty bastards, raised the prices for standing room. When the tickets were released, standing room was listed at 140.00. However, the Wings have not been selling the standing room until the upper and lower bowls were filled first. Now thay have filled the bowl and know that there still a bunch of standing room that can and will be sold, they raise the prices. That just pisses me off. I aways buy standing room. I had SRO for each round so far. I was hoping they would release SRO for game 2 and 5, but I did'nt think the cheap bastards would raise the prices. SOB. -
O'Hallaran - Default call is 'interference'?
Blood On The Ice replied to SouthernWingsFan's topic in General
Almost every single game you will see the puck bouncing around between the goalies legs and there will be 3 guys wacking away at the puck and the goalies legs tying to get the puck in. And when it does goe in, you NEVER EVER see an interference call. There is no difference. It was a BS call. And only called because it was Homy. Anyone else in the NHL, thats a good goal. And I do beleive there is a conspiracy against the wings by the NHL. The NHL makes more money and can grow/advance the NHL to other markets by their poster boy winning the cup than the wings. -
Holland: Franzen will be in the lineup this week
Blood On The Ice replied to HockeytownRules19's topic in General
Yeah. thats the way I took it as soon as I seen the head line. This week means Weds. -
For those that have the NHL network, and are interested, they are showing a 30 min segment, titled Top 10 Steve Yzerman Goals at 630pm est. Today, Tues.
-
Im with you 1000%. I've seen and heard the same things. Drive me ******* nuts too. If Dallas wants that paint call, then they better give back their only cup, because Hull's foot was in the crease.
-
It was replayed at 3am and 2pm fri. If you missed those two times, then i believe your SOL. I did not see any other times listed. By the way, in the future, NHLnetwork.com will give you the info you are asking for, under TV listings. Both US and Canadian.

I'm surprised to see it standing. I thought they got rid of that statue years ago, because it was only of a fictional character. Some movie buff was to have bought it. I guess I read wrong, or he donated back to Philly.

More than once, my wife also said, 'what did they say". They were also Colorado homers, which I hate, national annoucers being homers.
-
Its is not on FSN. They made the announcement during Fri's game that the next FSN game would be #7, if it went that far.

The NHL And Buttman have been out to kill tradition for years. Started out by changing the conference and divsion names. That still burns my ass.

From Swanton, Ohio (thats only 80 mins from my ass being in a seat at the Joe) bring home Lord Stanley

Geez, you must not have looked that hard. The redwings site has an entire page dedicated for new season ticket holders. You buy now you get a discount for this years playoffs. And yes, you will have to make a phone call. Ticket master was not hard either. Go to ticket master, type in detroit redwings, in the search area and you are taken to the playoff ticket page http://redwings.nhl.com/team/app/?service=..._default_id=481 http://www.ticketmaster.com/search?tm_link...etroit+redwings

The NHL Network, on the fly, reported that it was indeed a broken femur and he is out for the remainder of the season.

Poor Toronto. No luck this year. I don't know which is worse, Toskala allowing the 197 footer in or Brian McCabe firing a slap shot into his own net.
-
I can see Brunnstrom in the mix. But not Hossa. Hossa will want no less than 7 mil and he will want no less than 5 years. Too much for the Wings. Thats not to say I would'nt love to see him wearing the winged wheel. But I don't see it happening here.
-
Its is done sometimes. Even the controversial are replayed sometimes. But I sure don't know why its not done all the time.

Lidstrom practices (and other notes from practice)
Blood On The Ice replied to 96warrior's topic in General
You are right. It was Colorado. He must have had a brain fart -
Indeed.

I have never thrown one, but I've seen a few. From what I remember, everyone I observed brought it in their pants. I have also never seen anyone get thrown out or arrested yet. It seems that throwing a Octy at the Joe is accepted behavior. On one occasion I even seen the usher high five the Octy hurler. Hell even the rink manager Al Saboka gets into it when he comes out to clean it up. Can't help you on the cost. But have fun with it. Just don't throw it when the game is in play. Do it on a time out. Otherwise the wings will get 2 mins for delay of game.

So much for that. Just reported by NHLN
