Great, I want to see how well Howard can play against a good NHL team for the whole game. Although, many of you are blaming Ozzie for these last two games. Far from it boys and girls. The defense in front of him has been absolutely horrible. I'm sort of wondering if they had imposters on the ice the last two games. Hopefully they got this crap out of their system and they play a good game in front of Jimmy, otherwise, the results will be the same, a goalie getting pulled.

Holland talks about upcoming trade deadline
Blood On The Ice replied to CenterIce's topic in General
The thrashers did offer a contract, but Hossa turned it down. Something like 7 million yr. Hossa basically wants out of Atlanta. -
Did ya catch the part about him asking DMac, " If you were a betting man" do you think you will make it back to the NHL. If there was a list of "off the limit words", that sould have been one of them.

Sergi has aways been a me, me type of guy. Never the true team player. He wined and cried because Stevie Y was the man. Team players, not me, me's get their numbers retired. He was a very good player for his years in Detroit. But he was NOT a great player. And great is not always defined by the numbers you put up, its also defined by the person you are to your team mates, fans and the organization as a whole. Sergi failed in the latter and for that he will NEVER have his number retired.

Nothing in that article that says Kenny will not take the risk. That statement is just Mckeon's opinion. If it ment between winning or not winning the cup this year, Kenny WILL take that risk.

You must have been the same guy that called in on XM Radio Ice Caps, Thurs and asked Bettman that very same question. Vancouver would have to want to move. And as Bettman said, thats not going to happen.

On a somewhat related note, I wish they would get rid of no-potential Derek Meech and use Quincey as the #7. Hopefully he and Ericsson will get NHL time while Kronwall is off drawing up plans to break his ankle two days before the playoffs start. Meech is the #7 because there is not a lot of potential. Quincy is in Grand Rapids so he can play everyday and develope that potential. Quincy sitting on the bench all season as the #7 does him nor the wings any good. However if Q is brought up this week, he will take Kronners spot and play everyday and Meech will still remain that hopeful #7.

XM radio, the hockey show Icecaps is reporthing that there is a possible deal in the works for Emery and Corvo to Tampa for Boyle and Prospal.
-
Actually, believe it or not, the guy (forgot his name) that the wings hired from Nashville to promote ticket sales has said just that. He was interviewed just this week and he as a bunch for promotion days and group ticket sales scheduled for the second half.

Depends on the game you are referring to. Heck anymore you get get tickets off the web sight the morning of the game and print them out at home or just go to the box office. Not to many games have been sold out this year, that you would have to go to a scalper. But if you must buy from a scalper, the later the cheaper. I have scalped in years past, paid anywhere from 10 to 25 over cost. And the 10, was a playoff game.

Right now, he is not going anywhere. With Atlanta's win over the Wings, Atlanta is now tied for first place in their division. If Atlanta is a position to get into the playoffs come trade deadline, Hossa does not get traded.

I like'em. Once in a while would be nice.

Wings shoot twice on your side. Great seats. Have fun.

Everytime I see him, I tell the wife he has a new face tattoo.

Ozzie And Howard it WILL be. Its time to see what Jimmy can do in the NHL on a regular basis. Give him 25/30 starts, lets see if he is the goalie of the future.
-
Ducks are bringing up Jonas Hiller. According to duck board, he could be a huge cap hit if he gets significant playing time. If Giggy goes down, then of course he gets the playing time. This does not make sense if they are making room for one or both of their undecided retireds.
-
Ah, Honest mistake. They look alike.
-
Yup, Trade bate. This year or in the near future.
-
Thats exactly what I said when I heard it. He's LA Bound.

Reason # 851 Gary Bettman is an NHL dictator
Blood On The Ice replied to theman19's topic in General
Its time for a fire bettman campaign. Not just detroit, league wide. Think enough of us can start it at one particular game. Bring the signs "fire bettman". I know it did'nt work for Millie and the lions but that was just one team. If Redwing fans started it, maybe other team fans would folow suit. -
Yes, so am I. Bartman comes in and F&$Ks everything up. Why did the NHL have to be like the NBA or NFL. Thats one thing that should have been left alone. It was unique and it was the NHL. I would love to see that come back. But that will never happen.
-
I don't beleive the Wings will ever move east as long as Bartman is running the league. San Jose will move east long before they allow the wings to move there. The wings are the current big money winner for all teams in the west and they won't change that.

I know he has a black Bently. Sure thats just one of many.
