Calgary beat the Oilers 3-2 in regulation. Safe to say the Oilers are OUT of the playoffs. Also, Kings and Sharks tied 1-1 in the 2nd.

The season outcome has absolutely nothing to do with what could happen in the playoffs.

Last year we were awesome in the playoffs physicality wise. Seeing as how I think we are even better in that department this year, my answer is yes.

I just realized something this very moment. If the Oilers lose tonight they are officially eliminated from the playoffs. They have one game remaining after tonight and they are at 86 points. A loss gives them a *possibility* (in their last game) of getting 88 at the very most so yeah I think they are done like dinner.

It's much better for the Wings to play the Preds, and I'm not even talking in terms of who's 'easier.' The playoffs are a different beast for all teams and anything can happen. I want to face the Preds for two reasons: #1 It would be MUCH easier travel for the Wings & #2 They don't have Luongo.
