I REALLY hope that we do not get rid of Stuart. He is far too valuable, especially in the post season. I'm sure he'll be gone elsewhere once free agency happens July 1st but for now we should keep him.

I just read no HFBoards that Russian officials have confirmed that Salei is dead. I am crying right now. This is too sad.

i cannot fathom what's been going on this offseason. My boyfriend called me as I was heading to work and told me he heard about the plane crash on 97.1 and i couldn't believe it. This is seriously so damn heartbreaking. My thoughts and prayers go out to all who's lives were lost this morning. I am still holding out hope since no one has confirmed it yet that Salei somehow missed the flight or was elsewhere. Regardless, it's such a tragedy for all the others affected.

I just heard on the radio station that Wade was found dead in his condo today. What is going on with all these deaths! The station was 101.1 the WRIF.

i am seriously so depresed. i knew it was inevitable and he was bound to retire some day but i guess i thought and hoped he'd sign on for one more year. it's hard knowing that i'll never see my favorite player and the guy ive been a fan of since i was a little kid never play again.

How can anyone possibly complain if indeed he is returning for one more season? After all his years and loyalty to the Red Wings, he deserves to get one more year. If he really didn't feel like he couldn't play anymore or that his injury was THAT bad he wouldn't play. I trust his and Holland's decision and am extremely happy if he re-signs for another year. Couldn't ask for a better or more reliable back up.

It's very unfortunate that he died this way, but I've always had a problem with the ruling of an 'accidental' overdose. I would think it would be common sense not to mix meds and alcohol together, especially something like Oxycodone which is said to be addictive. The coroners can say it was accident but no one really knows what Derek was thinking or what his intentions were or weren't when mixing the the pills with alcohol. It's possible that he really didn't know the effects of it but I find it hard to believe. Still though, it's very heartbreaking. R.I.P Derek.

All I can say is Bruin's fans should be ashamed of themselves. During the moment of silence before the Bolt's/B's game last night, a bunch of them were being loud and booing. Disrespectful and completely wrong. Have some damn class.
