You've got to be kidding me. Besides Hank, you're damn right Ozzie has been the next best Wing. Anyone that thinks differently, has not been paying attention to the season. The team does not make Ozzie. They help, not 'make' him play great. That's such a sad excuse to just try and bring him down. He's freaking 12 & 1 and has been #1 in the league for majority of the season thus far. He's been spectacular and deserves all the credit he's getting and then some. LOL yeah let's take away the Hawks games to make Dom look better. Wow. He hasn't been playing good period. Be it against the Hawks, or whoever else he's played against. This isn't a knock on Dom nor are we trying to bash him. We all know he was a great goaltender, but so far this season he has shown he's slowed down, and that has age has finally caught up to him. It's not a big deal, it was bound to happen sometime, and this is probably the year it happens. Now am I saying that there's no way Dom can get back to his normal self? Absolutely not. Will it happen? Maybe. Do I think it will? Probably not. Does that make me a basher/troll? I most certainly think not.

I LOVED the Ozzie cube! And then 'Ozzie!' across the screen. And the Wizard of Oz music was fantabulous!

Turco is the absolute best. After that I'd go with Marty and Oz.

I don't think it's going to matter anyway. I voted in Ozzie tons of times, but I found out that in the end only the starting goaltender gets voted in. The other two are up to the coaches. I think if Babs is the Western Conference coach that he would for sure pick Ozzie to be in the game.

Awesome thread. Glad some of you can admit you were wrong. I just went on TSN, and Ozzie is #7 in player rankings, and #3 in goaltending rankings. WOOT OZZIE!!!! Just think about it. Ozzie has 25 of the Wings 34 points. HOT DAMN.

We were so going to come up and sit by you guys, but there were 4 empty seats in front of us and so we tried that for like 10 minutes, until the people who actually bought the seats came late into the second period. Booo. So by that time we were like screw it..we'll just stand. haha

My cousin, Sebastian, just got 4 tickets for tomorrow nights game. Of course I am going cause he's amazing and bought me one as well. LOL im really excited, but anyways we just realized it's standing room and we've never had that before. Anyone know what's like to have standing room? Is it a good spot to be in during the game? Can you see everything well? I'm really not a fan of standing during the whole game. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Just got back from the game. Kopay's goal was a freaking beauty!! Huds was amazing! Drake I think played his best game of the season. He was all over the place, and had a bunch of scoring chances. Atta boy, Dallas. OZZIE!! 12 & 1 and 16 & 0 against the Bolts! GO WINGS!!!

Hahaha I thought I was the only one who loved and called Marty little. I've been excited all day bout going tonight because not only is Oz starting, but I get to see Marty and Vinny. WOOT. Jen and I rule..what can I say!

He is, but the Wings are really short up front with Drapes, Ellis, and maybe Maltby out as well. We need Dandenault back. Forward..Defense..Forward..Defense.. lol

I've always thought it would be great if the coaches could pick who shoots. Then again it's kinda like a smack in the face to whoever was actually going to take the shot isn't it? lol

How do you know that playing Hasek is best for the Wings down the road, and into the playoffs? I don't agree with that at all. You're right Hasek has proven he can carry teams, and has great stats and what not, but that was then, and this is now. While im not a fan of his, I think Hasek has always been a fantastic goalie, but I think he's finally slowed down, and I no longer see him as being whats best for the team so I'll respectfully disagree.

I'm sorry, but I hate the special treatment he has to get just because he's known to self destruct and what not when not getting his way. That's absurd and shouldn't be the case. He's a grown ass man. I'm sure he and the Wings are working hard in practice to get him to his normal self. That doesn't mean though that we should sit Ozzie back, just to get Dom on track. He's a professional, and he'll find his game soon enough regardless of when he plays. You go with the hot goalie, and that is Osgood. It'd be completely unfair to just yank him out when he's doing great.

So basically, the Wings should sit out Osgood, has been on fire and pretty much the #1 goaltender in the leauge, for Dom just because his name is Hasek? Because that is most definitely what you are insinuating and I think it's a bunch of crap. You say it's a team sport yet contradict yourself by making a comment like that. Yes it is a team sport, and you have to think of what's best for the team, and right now that is playing the goaltender who is getting the W's. Osgood deserves to be starting, and Babs has every right and reason in the world to keep playing him. To say that Ozzie isn't going to take us far in the playoffs is quite laughable. I love how some of you constantly bring up the playoffs as if it's right around the corner. It just seems like a sorry excuse to me. Hasek will get his playing time soon enough. Babs knows what he's doing.
