Amen! I've always got a chuckle out of the whole thing of Ozzie letting in soft goals. As if he's the only goaltender in the NHL that does that. Every goaltender probably on average let's in one softie per game. It happens. Osgood doesn't let in any more or less than anyone else. As far as I see it anyway. Oz is top 10/20 in pretty much every single goaltending stat career wise. Like you stated, he's not a fluke. He's up there because he deserves to be and has earned it.

Ellis has earned himself a spot. He plays his ass off every shift and does the little things that in the end make a difference. As for Rex, he needs to stay in the line up. He's starting to heat up.

Sounds like they are just completely frustrated. I don't blame 'em.

I was just saying that exact same thing to my Dad earlier today. About being the first time the Wings have swept a Western Canada trip, and it's with Ozzie in net. Fabulous! lol Ozzie is on fire! I'm loving every single moment of this. It's great that everyone is FINALLY giving him credit. Hopefully nobody turns on him the second he loses a game.

So glad to see that Fisch is okay and is doing what he is doing for the foundationg. As much as I love and want him to come back I don't at the same time. Don't want to risk anything happening to him again.

Christopher John Osgood is AMAZING! 7 & 0 BABY!!! You can tell how happy he was when they were interviewing him after the game. It looked like he wanted to break out a huge smile, but instead just kept it to himself. Damn is he on FIRE!! And how bout being on the unbeaten streak list now twice since 1989. One for a 20 game unbeaten streak, and now for an 18 game unbeaten streak. He's up there more than any other goalie. I am so damn happy right now. ATTA BOY OZZIE!! Always had faith in you, and always will. Btw, Hank is freaking phenomenal. Same goes for all our boys. They owned tonight. Swept the Western Canada trip, and went 3 & 1 on the West Coast trip. The media can say and think what they want. It doesn't really matter because in the end the Wings are still Hockeytown. As it is and has been their marketing slogan for the past decade. No one is going to change that. Honestly the whole not deserving it anymore is BS. I still think when it comes down to it, no teams' fans *In the US* are more passionate and die hard than Wings fans. Yeah they aren't selling out, but everyone knows that's mainly due to the economy/high ticket prices. It's nothing to do with lack of interest, or not caring about the Wings anymore. This whole thing just really isn't as big of a deal as the media makes it out to be.

Yeah I saw the interview. I'm pretty sure I recorded it, but you're right on with all that was said. It was pretty hilarious. His reaction was priceless.

I'm not stating anything about not having love for any other Wings goaltenders. I LOVED Cujo and Manny. I'm just saying that when it comes down to it, the rest don't matter as much because Ozzie is the one that has stuck around, and has accomplished the most with this team.

IMO he's the face of the Wings when it comes to goaltending. He's been in the Wings system since his late teens, and has done/been through everything with this club. He's a great guy, very, very good goaltender, and an excellent team player. Plus you won't find more loyal guys to their team than Oz. He's amazing. I don't care what goalies come in and out of Detroit because when it all comes down to it, Chris is the only one that matters. *Well maybe not the ONLY one, but most important. * lol It was asked if Ozzie or Howard would start.

Babs saying nothing but great things about Ozzie. Talking about how solid he's been and then John Keating asked him if there was any anticipation to Ozzie playing against the Flames. Babs reply? There is no anticipation, Ozzie is starting.
