Thank you for writing this, because I was just about to write like 5 plus paragraphs on it. Haha IMO, some of Ozzie's best play has been in St.Louis, and especially Long Island. Specifically his first year there where they named him MVP. Woah woah woah.. did you watch Ozzie 's season with the Blues? Because I did. The team looked good on paper, but on ice? Not so much. Jackman, Pronger, and Mac were ALL out for more than half the season with injteuries. Tkachuk, Weight, Demitra were not playing like themselves. Mid season they were down in the standings, having no playoff hope, when Osgood literally stood on his head for two months and got them to the 8th and final spot in the conference. He played great for them. I remember in interviews, Pronger, Weight, etc.. stating that they had no right being in the playoffs, and that Oz was the only reason they were there. They were all talking about what a great leader and goaltender he was for them. So yeah. Ozzie's record is not at all inflated. It's more like he gets discredited for anything and everything by fans. It's pretty sad if you ask me.

Babs is the man. I hope he stays around for a long time. He's exactly what the Wings needed.

He's battling the flu. He was feeling really bad earlier today, but had to tough it out because he knew how important tonights game is.

He is AMAZING. Tigers winning 6-3 in the 4th against the Yankees. Started off with a Grand Slam in the first by Granderson to make it 4-0.

I think they are really sweet. I actually like the numbers on the front.

Osgood is going to deteriorate? What makes you think that, is it because he's getting older? Sorry but I don't buy that. At all. Osgood is better than everyone you just listed, and then some. He wouldn't have a 'chance' against them, he'd simply beat them out. Emery is the only good one up there, as in he's actually really good in the season and playoffs, and is consistent. The rest? Not so much. Basically seeing the ones you listed Ozzie would be a better choice as a starter for the Flyers, BJ's, Preds, Blues, Avs, Habs, and Lightning. Other teams he could start for: Canes, Kings, Wild. That's a lot of teams right there. So how anyone can say he can't beat out those teams starters, and be a #1 goalie again is just beyond me. Ozzie would be snatched via free agency. The thing is he loves it SO very much here in Detroit, a place he calls his home now, that he's comfortable enough to just stay with the Wings until he retires no matter what his job is. Don't anyone get fooled into thinking Ozzie can't be #1 again. He can be and he knows it. He's just damn loyal to this Wings team, and they are lucky to have a guy like him on the team. That kind of loyalty is very rare these days.

Bell is a very good player. After the accident everything went downhill for him.

Thinking of Osgood as a back up makes me want to hurl. I HATE when he is labeled that. Hate it. Don't get me wrong I know that's his 'role' right now, but it bothers me to no end. Especially since I know he is SO much better than a back up and seeing him rarely play, and just sit on the bench depresses me. Seriously. He is and always will be a very capable starter. He's played most of his career as one and has never had a losing season. There's no doubt in my mind that if he were to start again that he'd repeat it all over again. He's a very good goaltender regardless of what anyone thinks. His play and numbers prove it. Anyways, as far as him wanting to play for 5 more years. That is FANTASTIC! I'd keep Ozzie around for 10 more if it were possible. He's the type of guy that everyone needs on their team.

It's Huds time to shine and he'll do it. Babs is a great coach and he fits perfectly with the Wings. It's called a mistake. It happens.

Oh man.. I've been pouting all summer, walking around the house moping, and telling everyone in my family that September needs to be here already. I am having serious withdrawl symptoms as well. All summer I've been watching games. Spefically, Game 5 against the Flames. *Cleary's penalty shot goal* Game 2 against the Sharks, Game 4 against the Sharks, Game 1 against the Ducks. I've basically memorized those games.

I just got the same email. skjds I signed up like 2 years ago thinking the waiting list was about 10 years long! Which a lot of people told me it would be. I can't afford tickets now!
