Exactly. I think Maltby does a great job at what he does. He's a huge reason why the top lines of the Flames, Sharks, and for the most part, Ducks had a tough time scoring against us. Him and Drapes do a great job shutting down top lines and taking away from their game. Losing Malts regardless of what anyone on here thinks of him would definitely be a loss. He does his job and that's all you can ask for. He's not there to score or make big plays. He's there to agitate opponents, penalty kill, and shut down lines, and that's exactly what he does.

I do believe you are wrong. Just because we are Lang fans doesn't mean we think he had a good season. But in no way was he as bad as some of you made him out to be. That's the point. A lot of posters on here take it way overboard which in turn pisses a few of us off. Also, there are some that pretty much discredited him for saving our asses in the playoffs which is completely unfair and was only said because he is Robert Lang. Everyone needs to get over it already. We know majority don't care for him. GOOD FOR YOU GUYS. Let it go already. Those of us that are still fans? Well so be it. That's that.

Cleary's amazing season, and Ozzie owning the Predators. Markov's hit on Stoll. That hit was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G and the fact that it led to the great goal by Dats is even more amazing. Not sure if anyone knows but they ranked the top 10 hits of this season and Markov's hit was at #3. Also, Hank's hatty was great! and Pavs sick as hell move on Vokoun in the shootout. Most definitely agree about the Preds! Love the Wings moment you posted. Another reason why Sharks fans are the best and our faves. lol

HAHA omg that is too funny. The song is hilarious. I can't believe people used to seriously compare him and Ozzie. Yikes. Not only is Cloutier a nut job, but he's got to be the worst goaltender..EVER. Since I started watching hockey I don't ever recall hearing 'What a save by Cloutier!' and I mean ever.

I love how we are labeled 'homers' because we give the guy credit for SAVING the Wings. Like Harold stated, Lang is the one that actually did it. Bringing up some other second line forward and saying he could of done better is pretty much pointless seeing as how no one would really ever know how that would of panned out. The reality of it all is that it was Robert Lang that was our second line center, it was him that scored the huge goals for us.

For someone to say that he wasted ice time and that someone else on the 2nd line could take his place and score twice is neither here nor there. To discredit the guy after he scored the Wings two biggest goals is just downright pathetic. No one is saying he had a great playoff, but he didn't have an awful one either and some of you need to give the guy credit where it's due.

Yeah..that Robert was SO horrible in the playoffs. DAMN HIM TO HELL for taking the Wings to OT twice due to his clutch goals. And if not for both those goals the Wings would have more than likely had another early playoff exit, but how quick we forget things eh? Your arguement would maybe make a little more sense if Lang didn't save the Wings asses twice.

Bobby. <33 I'm really going to miss him. Great job on the video. The song fits perfectly. I always thought it would be a great one for Ozzie. It's pretty fitting for Langer as well. The goal against the Preds gives me goosebumps every time I see it. SO freaking strong on the puck, and his deke on Vokoun was fantastic. Looking at that video just shows that the man has got a hell of a lot of skill, a wicked shot, and some great moves. You'll be missed, Bobby.

I agree that that hockey isn't up there in most of America, but when it comes to Michigan I think it is most definitely up there. I can understand if people in say Cali, Florida..etc.. were asked to name their teams playes and had absolutely no clue, but here? Majority know their hockey even if they are just a bunch of casual fans, or don't care at all. If not..then they are living under a rock. lol

I don't agree with that. I think popularity wise, the Wings are ahead of the Pistons. From what I've seen it's gotta be the Wings. Especially if you compare the way Detroit was when the Wings won the Championship compared to the Pistons. IMO it goes: Tigers Lions Wings Pistons
