The whole point was that he wanted a longer term. Obviously two years would of been good for him, but the Wings only offered ONE. That is my problem with this all.

My dislike of Hasek has nothing to do with this, and you of all people should know. I did nothing but stick up for the guy, and praise him in the playoffs for his great play. I don't 'hate' the guy. I'm just stating it as I see it. Holland wants more than anything to sign Hasek. Why hasn't it worked out yet? That's what I want to know.

Your posts reak of sarcasm. I get the feeling you think that it is Holland's fault as to why Hasek is not signed yet? Kenny has made Dom his top priority since the season ended. How many times can they be close to signing him, yet not do so? It has to be on Hasek's part, and it has to be about the money. We all know it's going to be a one year deal so obviously the term is set, but something isn't working out and that would be $$$. It bugs the hell outta me seeing as how Dom professes his love for Detroit, and that money isn't an issue, when he keeps playing these mind games. If he wanted so badly to re-sign, he would of by now. This all makes me think that he is A)Going elsewhere. or B) Retiring.
