Who is next to sign with Detroit?

No not at all. I just think as far as toughness goes there are better guys than Forsberg suited for that.

    Bertuzzi a Duck: 2-Years, $8M

My obsession with him? Get real. I'm not obsessed with anyone. And for the record, I hated him before he was a Wing. Even with disliking him, the second the Wings signed him I was happy because I knew it would make our team better. Plus the guy is a badass, and the Wings haven't had someone like him years. That and he seemed like a very genuine guy and not the ******* everyone made him out to be. THAT is why I like him.

    In Who Do We Trust?

I wouldn't mind Guerin. I remember before the trade deadline it was between him, Bert, and Tkachuk and most of us wanted Bill. He'd be my first choice of all that is left, mainly because I want to add a little toughness. Plus he's a goal scorer.

I don't mind Schneider being gone. I think he was awesome for us, but I agree that he shouldn't get 5.5 and that Holland was right to not offer that much. I never complained about this once. Rafalski is much better and younger, and I am thrilled he is back home. I also never said Bertuzzi should be had for 4 million. That is an overpayment as well. I just said I *THINK* he would of signed for less, probably around 2.5 had the term been longer. That's what been said at least.. Maybe I worded it wrong, but in no way would I want the Wings to spend 6 or 7 million on the likes of Drury, Smyth, etc. sure they may be worth that much. Well Drury anyway..but that's not what I wanted. Bertuzzi was the main player to me. I was hoping they would of signed him for around 2.5 or 3 mil, and then bring in Kozzie and maybe a depth D-man. Or just wait until the trade deadline for a D-man. So basically, Rafalski, Bert, and Kozzie. Of course re-signing Dom as well at a decent price. I don't think that was asking for too much or was out of the question. But I'm not the GM so what do I know. That's just what I would of liked to see. I think you've got me all wrong. I'm not saying they are perfect. I'm just not one to bash on our players after they sign contracts elswhere, or wish them bad luck because they are no longer on our team. They played their asses off, and all made a difference on the Wings for the most part. They battled throughout the entire playoffs and got far. That being said, tthere have been signings from the Wings in the past that I have not liked, and players I have dissed plenty of times. You should of read the threads earlier this season because I ragged on a certain #3 a lot..until the playoffs of course. Honestly though? The 2006-2007 Red Wings were by far my favorite Wings team in the past decade, and that is including the Cup teams. That is another reason why I have nothing bad to say. It has nothing due to a 'blind allegiance' I have towards the team.

Wanna know why I don't have anything bad to say about anyone? Because there is nothing to say. I guess seeing the guys a lot be it in practices, games, or just talking to them kinda makes me feel that way too. Big deal.

Is this lets grill Reem day? You don't see it because you're not me. I think he would of been very good here, and able to make a difference. His size, toughness, and great hands would of really helped. He's also the type of guy you'd want to protect your star players. Someone that doesn't take crap from anyone, and will dish it out and fight if he has to. The Wings haven't had a player like that in years, and then finally we acquire him, and while risky at first, everyone thought him being healthy this year would of done us really well, and well now he'll be doing that for another team and it sucks.

Who is next to sign with Detroit?

Haha I love JR. I honestly think Detroit would be the best place for him to go. I think it would rejuvenate him. Not saying at all he'd be like he was in the old days, but I think he'd be pretty decent. I think he can be had for very cheap. Get him, Kozlov, sign Dom, and then get another D-man early on in the season or at the deadline if need be. I just want someone that can protect our players, and I think Roenick fits that well. Poor guy hasn't been the same since his brother died. He was doing really, really well before then. Maybe a new team would give him that extra jump. Also, I remember hearing that him and Mats don't get along.

    I want Roenick.

Will Kopecky give #28 to Rafalski?

    Ahh smart thinking.

I have always defended Holland, and do think he is the best GM in hockey. I just don't like the fact that he tells us we'd be getting 2 outta the 4 free agents back, yet everyone of them is elswhere. Except Hasek. But even with him..you never know. I don't like being in the position where I see every GM doing something, while all the great players are being taken. No one out there that's left intrigues me. I'm hoping he'll suprise us with something unexpeceted, and soon. I'm just not pleased so far that's all.

Are you seriously ragging on me for liking a player? For feeling bad for him? The Wings didn't give him a damn chance. They knew he was battling three injuries in the playoffs and that he wasn't 100% healthy. He wanted to stay here longer and he said that his back was fine and he'd be good to go, but they didn't want to take a 'risk.' Holland could of signed him to a two or three year deal and if it didn't work out they could of easily bought him out. I don't see the big deal. Nor do I see the big deal in me feeling for players because I get attached to them. Be it a year, a week, or just a few months. That's just how I am so deal with it.

LA Kings Offer Hasek 2 yr 10 mill. Deal?

Hmmm. I'm not registered, but i was able to see it. Apparently it's all over radio, too?

Who is next to sign with Detroit?

Forsberg would be nice, but isn't he retiring? And how much would he want? PLUS I am kinda hoping for someone that is ya know..TOUGH. Seeing as how all are size went away within 4 hours.

    Bertuzzi a Duck: 2-Years, $8M

Why though? So we hated him before, then we embraced and loved him and now that he's gone we have to boo and dislike him again? You're probably right because that's how most fans are, but I really hope we won't be like that. Especially since he really wanted to stay here.

Will Kopecky give #28 to Rafalski?

He most definitely should out of respect.

    Where is the Loyalty?

That's so sad. Those two were becoming BFF. lol Haha remember when Ozzie stuffed all his equipment in Todd's locker, and Bert started picking on him and supposedly did something to his Pads. Oz told him that he should trying scoring goals first, then mess with him. LOL

Awww he thanks the Wings. That's great when he was only with us for a few months. We're going to miss you, Big Bert. BTW, he better not be booed when we face him.

Ducks are not going to win it again next year. I'll bet anything.

    Robert Lang to the Hawks

I believe Lang is making 2 million per year.

    Bertuzzi a Duck: 2-Years, $8M

Bertuzzi kept saying it wasn't about the money. I kept hearing he was willing to take 2.5 mil, but just wanted a longer term. Regardless though, of course he's going to take 4 mil a year because the Ducks showed their interest and made him feel wanted. It's so obvious that a player like Todd would get around that much via free agency, that's why the Wings should of done something about it.

    Bertuzzi a Duck: 2-Years, $8M

That's why I am upset. I don't get how Holland couldn't add another year onto his contract and meet halfway. He kept saying he wanted to re-sign Bert, yet it seems like he didn't push or want him enough on the Wings. I don't fault Bert at all for going to the Ducks. I knew someone would ****** him had the Wings not done something. He's a great player. I'm happy that we at least saw him play for a month or so. Makes me look at Bertuzzi and think of him in a totally new aspect. I've got respect for the man now. Best of luck, Todd. But not too much of course. As for Holland letting everyone go. I don't understand that either. After the really good post season run he kept saying that he would make very few changes. Then the past week he said 2 of the 4 big free agents on our team would most likely return. Not ONE of them has yet. I don't know what the guy is doing, or planning. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Classless don't ya think? Schneider signed with the Ducks because it's where he lives. Family is the most important thing. Bertuzzi signed with the Ducks because Holland only offered a year, when he wanted 3 or 4 due to him liking it here so much. How exactly is that Todd's fault?

player list of whos still available

Wings need to sign Kozzie, Vishnevski, and try and get Fedoruk for cheap and then I might cheer up.

Psh. I'm already in love with Rafalski. Seriously though, I get attached to players easily. I've always thought Lang was a very, very good player and I still do. The guy came up huge for the Wings during big times and no one should forget that. I understand the guy sometimes is a floater and what not, but I think the ribbing the guy gets on here is well overboard. It just sucks because he was one of my faves, and after I met him I liked him even more. Great guy. As for Calder, he was one hell of a hard working player. I love everything I saw from the guy the second he became a Wing. Something about the playoffs was very off, and I still think something must of happened. *Maybe behind the scenes or what not* because no way his play goes downhill just like that. He's one of those players you know is going to give it his all each and every shift. He was really what we could of used. Great along the boards, and gritty. So basically to sum it all up. Jen and I always find ourselves liking the same players, and almost always they either get traded, not offered a contract, or leave on their own terms. It sucks.
