Wait...what? Chris Osgood is not a great back up? First we were all arguing that Ozzie should be starter. I'm talking about some of us on these boards earlier in the season. And now Ozzie isn't even good enough for a back up role? I don't know whether I should laugh or cry. I think I'll laugh. He played great this season especially near the end of the season with stealing the Wings 5 outta 6 point away from the Preds. THAT was great goaltending and he was solid throughout the season. Ozzie is more than capable of becoming a starter again. Maybe not right now because of Dom being #1 but Holland would have no problem handing over the reigns to Ozzie had dom retired, and I know that a lot of teams would consider Ozzie for #1 if/when he becomes a free agent again. I mean I'm not trying to sound rude or anything..but come on..

Haha yeah seriously! If he did he would be #1.

NO to Raycroft and NO to Bryzgalov. We have Hasek and Osgood. Are ya'll forgetting that? Now with Toskala to the Leafs, and Vokoun to the Panthers the Wings EASILY have the best 1-2 goaltending punch in the league. Hasgood 4 lyfe.

Holland: Prices for Bertuzzi, Schneider & Markov high

I don't understand how you can make that assumption when he hasn't even played a single NHL game yet. You're putting way too much pressure on the kid. He might be a stud, and may be fantastic in the future, but saying he can take Schneider's place and be just as effective? I don't buy it. Kindl needs to learn from the likes of Schneider, not replace him. Not yet at least. -

I don't agree with this, but I'd like to know who you think could replace him AND be just as effective? -
Haha that is sweet! Manny's got great hands eh.

Schneider may be up there in age but he's still an excellent player, and is still a very valuable part of this team. He had one of his best seasons this year so of course naturally he'd ask for a raise. Also, seeing Timmonen just get a 6.7 mil contract when he is nowhere near as good as Schneids is going to make him think hey, I'm better than that guy I deserve more money. Which is pretty much true. With that being said, I think in the end beause Schneids loves it so much here that he will stay and for less money. At least I hope so. Bert's back shouldn't even be an concern anymore. He said himself it would take a couple months during the offseason for him to get back to 100% healthy so I'd stick with that. I don't even know how Bert is even issue right now. I heard several Wings saying how much he loves it here. He kept saying it's not about the money, that he wants to stay, and doesn't want to make anymore stops. I think soon he'll be signed, and at a really good price that's fair for both sides. As for Markov. I wouldn't say he's had an 'average' season. I think he's had a fairly good one, and an even better post season. He was a beast out there in the playoffs and he too deserves a raise. I'd love to see him back, but not at a costly price. Anyways, IMO Schneids is the most important. I do think he'll stay, same goes for Bert. Hasek is a given so I wouldn't even bring him up. Hoping that all 4 re-sign, but realistically, I'm thinking 2 or possibly three if all goes well will sign and soon. -
Manny was playing center and got a hatty?

What is so different about the Canes jersey? Am I missing something?

NOOOOO! Maroth. He was my first fave Tiger when I became a fan. I am upset, but I hope he does great with the Cards. Thanks for everything!
-
Sounds like a pretty good D-man. Looking forward to seeing what he can do in the future.

That's what I thought at first.

From what I've heard, no. It's suppose to be available online.

Why are some of you giving up on Schneids and assuming things when we really don't even know what's going on or what is on his mind? Chill people. Just let Kenny do his job and we'll see what happens. -

Defensman. 6'3" around 215. Said to be the most physical player available in the draft. Very hard worker, great hands, and very reliable on the blue line.
