Well Kozzie would be a good fit. Ozzie is already a Wing. Kozzie was traded for Dom, Ozzie was put on waivers and picked by the Isles.

That is so irrelevant, and an excuse to those of you that love to bash the guy. Lang actually had a pretty decent playoffs. He didn't score much, but he sure as hell wasn't the reason the Wings were down at times, and he sure didn't make any big mistakes that would cost the Wings a game, or goal. You guys exaggerate. Big time. You don't like him then fine. But don't discredit him of his two huge season saving goals.

I started this topic in the rumor thread earlier today, and was completely THRILLED when I found out the Wings were interested in Kozzie. Age isn't so much a factor. The guy still puts up great numbers, scores big goals, and is great defensively. Like a few have said, pick up Kozzie now, get Feds at the deadline and they are in great shape. The whole enforcer thing is blowing way outta proportion. The way the Wings played in these playoffs shows they can handle anything thrown at them. They can dish it and take it. No need for an 'enforcer' or fighter. It's not going to change a thing. You get a 100% healthy Bertuzzi out there and we are good to go! Plus Markov, and Lilja are willing to drop the gloves if need be. The Wings are in fine position. All they need is someone to take Lang's spot, and Kozzie or Feds.. or BOTH would more than do that. Ahhh can you imagine what the lines would look like. *drool* Thank you!! Finally someone agrees and sees that punk ass in the same light I do.

When he talks about the refs being better off not making calls in the last 5 minutes and letting the players play..you can TOTALLY tell he said that because of the Wings. hehehe "Well that's why im here today." The Wings are fine physically. Especially if they have Bert coming back at 100%. Plus, physicality wasn't what made us lose against the Ducks. The lack of scoring and not getting that big goal when needed to is what did. Kozzie can fill that void.

Yikes. If it weren't for Lang we'd be out in the second round talking about what a disappointing season it was, and that the Wings need to get rid of half the team and start 'rebuilding.' THANKS to Lang the Wings made it to the third round and while not winning the Cup are looked at as having a great season regardless. Thank you, Lang. For real.

Not really. I would have said the same thing if Emery won and acted that way. Giguere literally acted like they just won the Cup. It's okay to be happy, but it's always safe to not get TOO excited until you actually get that 4th Stanley Cup clinching win.

Not from what I recall. I remember Thornton being his first fight. After that I remember them saying he needed to learn how to fight before he got into one before. I'm sure he fought after Hartnell..but I could of sworn it was only his 2nd fight at that time. Hmm... EDIT: You are correct! No. I guess I wouldn't be able to 'grow up' then. I've never had a problem with Bertuzzi until the incident happened. Sure I disliked the way he played against the Wings because he was so damn good out there, and such a pain in the ass, but I always thought he was a great player, and always wondered what it would be like to have him on our team. The only reason I got passed Bertuzzi's incident is because he does seem to be genuinely sorry. He's over it, and has moved on. Everyone has a player in which they wouldn't be able to stand being on the Wings. For me that player is Hartnell. That's my opinion, and im sticking with it. Fischer completely pummeled him, and made him turtle. That right there says a lot, because it was only Jiri's second fight in the NHL, and in his fight before, Thornton destroyed him.

I'm calling it for next year. Wings vs. Devils in the SCF. OR vs. the Rangers. Hmm...

I don't think I could possibly disagree more. Since when was Trotz looked at as a coach that tells his players to go around throwing cheap shots? I could of sworn near the end of the season Barry had a talk with Hartnell about his stupid antics. The whole playing cheap because of who's coaching him is a pretty lame excuse. I don't buy it for a second. Hartnell has ALWAYS been a dirty player. He's known for it. How many times does the guy constantly try and take someone's knees out? He took a cheap shot on Fischer and he tore his ACL and was out for the entire season. He did the exact same thing to Chelios the year before that. Then he takes a run at Manny two seasons ago in which he ends up in the hospital, and the second they replace him with Cujo he takes a run at him as well. He's a piece of s*** and I cannot stand him for the life of me. I don't care how much the guy can score,his crap shouldn't be tolerated period. The guy plays with an intent to injure the opposing teams best players. I would be completely disgusted if the Wings even thought of going after him. I don't even want to talk about this piece of crap anmyore. I can't stand him for the life of me.

The ref just totally messed it up right there for the Sens. Get the hell outta the way.
