They are suppose to talk to Cheli either today or tomorrow on WDFN..they said they'd ask him about it. We'll see.

    Chelios not shaking hands . . .

That's really the first thing I thought as well. He hurried to shake the Coach's hands outta respect then got off right away. Something was wrong.

    Robert Lang

    Yep.

Is It Fatigue or Lack of Heart?

    Couldn't agree more.

Free Agent Names to Look At

We are talking about Free Agents already? I like our team the way it is. I think Lang will go though..unfortuantely. I'd absolutely LOVE to see Drury become a Wing. That would be the best, imo.

    Congrats to the Ducks

What the hell? I have watched hockey since I was a kid. Don't come on here telling me I don't know what Im talking about because YOU don't agree with me, and because I made a mistake with games due to my freaking head pounding the hell outta me, and being upset over this loss. I've been on these boards forever, and I can assure you that no one on here has a problem with me or my hockey knowledge.

    Congrats to the Ducks

Maybe I should watch a different sport because YOU don't agree with my logic? Wow. Maybe you need to learn people's opinions vary and that it's going to happen no matter how smart you think you are. Hockey is my life. I live and die with it.

    Congrats to the Ducks

Wow I am completely out of it. My bad. I completely forgot the Ducks won Game 2. My head really does hurt. Yikes. Yeah..well then Game 7 it is.
  11. HockeyCrazy3033

    Congrats to the Ducks

I'm not one to bash posters. You have your opinions, I have mine. We just disagree and that's perfectly normal.
  12. HockeyCrazy3033

    Congrats to the Ducks

That is complete BS. There are several times during a season or playoffs where the better team loses the game. I can't even count how many times the Wings completely dominated teams during the season or vice versa and the one that played like crap had the bounces go their way and ended up winning. Ducks were the better team in Game 1 but Wings win Even play iin Game 2 Ducks win Wings were better in Game 3 Wings win Wings were betting in Game 4 Ducks win Wings were better in Game 5 Wings win Ducks were better in Game 6 Ducks win YOU do the math. The better team doesn't always go on to win. EDIT for not being clear enough and mistakes.

Am I the only one that....

I'm not a guy. Get over yourself.
  14. HockeyCrazy3033

    Congrats to the Ducks

First off, I am a gal, not a dude. Secondly, I gave the Ducks credit tonight did I not? Leave it at that. I'm done arguing. I think the Wings deserved Game 5 and that's that.
  15. HockeyCrazy3033

    Congrats to the Ducks

Was I talking about OT? The whole point is the game should have never gone beyond the third period. The Wings had it in the bag. We'll have to agree to disagree or else we can debate about this all night.

    Who are you talking to?

    Chelios not shaking hands . . .

    LOL. Okay.

Am I the only one that....

Calder was fanastic when he was healthy apparently BROKEN HAND isn't said enough around here. If the Wings are smart, and I know they are they'll definitely bring him back. He's exactly the type of guy you want on your team in the playoffs. Maltby re-signed and regardless of what anyone says he's still an important part of this team Ozzie is signed for another year. I love how how people think that he's old and that his goaltending days are almost over. The guy is 34, he's got plenty left in him and is still damn good. Dom is probably retiring, the back up thing is hilarious though.
  19. HockeyCrazy3033

    Congrats to the Ducks

Right. So playing 59 outta 60 minutes of dominant hockey isn't good enough due to 40 seconds of luck. Yeah, right on. 59 minutes > 40 seconds. The Wings got screwed over in that game. Big time. Perhaps a 100% healthy Bert will be all the Wings need.
  20. HockeyCrazy3033

    Congrats to the Ducks

That's perfectly fine. Congrats to you, and your team.
  21. HockeyCrazy3033

    Congrats to the Ducks

Honestly? No. Just like I bet the Ducks believe they shouldn't have won Game 4 or 5.
  22. HockeyCrazy3033

    Congrats to the Ducks

You bring up special teams as if Anaheim did any better. They were brutal. The only thing that saved them was their fluke goals and bounces. Please count how many times the Wings hit the post in the last three games. Easily about 6 or 7. Then to be up 1-0, and get a HORRID call on Datsyuk, and then them tying it up with 40 seconds off a bounce. It's called luck. That's just the way it's gone for the Ducks. Don't give us this crap about them deserving it. Congrats to them for winning, but in no way did they outplay the Wings in this series. No way, and they know it.
  23. HockeyCrazy3033

    Congrats to the Ducks

Congrats to them for sure. But deserved it? Absolutely not.

    Round of Applause + Congratulations

You know what? No longer can anyone call the Wings playoff chokers. No longer can anyone say they are too soft, or that they have no heart or desire to win. This playoff run has been amazing, and they really gave it one hell of a run. I remember before the playoffs started there were those that sad they wanted the Wings to stay away from two teams, the Flames, and Sharks. They wanted so badly for the Wings to not face them because they thought they would completely own us with their physicality. Look at how the Wings responded. They played more physical in these playoffs then I've seen them play since the early 90's..even when they won their Cups. Everyone said they weren't tough enough..and they really proved everyone wrong. They are no longer soft, they aren't afraid to take the body, sacrifice themselves, block shots, muck it up, get into scrums, stick up for teammates, and even fight. They did all that, and on top played with so much heart. Battling till the very end. Getting huge goals at the right time, the superstar players coming through, great goaltending, players stepping in and playing solid while others were injured. They REALLY do deserve an applause. I am so damn proud of them. No one can say they weren't tough enough, because they most definitely proved they were.
