LOL watch out Anaheim or Detroit? Whoever comes out of the West is going to destroy the Sens. That's my opinion anyways..

Okay, now that it is really needed, but I came up with some line combo's that I think would be pretty effective for the Wings. How bout this for a change: Lang-Datsyuk-Holmstrom Franzen-Zetterberg-Sammy Cleary-Filppula-Bertuzzi Kopecky-Draper-Maltby Anyways, I like these lines for a few reasons; Lang has been playing really good as of late, and I liked the way him and Pavs clicked on the PP last night. He's really creative with the puck *regardless of what anyone thinks* and he's an excellent passer. You've got him that can make the passes, Pavel that can do the same and score, and Homer that drives to the net and does his thing. Also, I think it'd be good to split up Hank and Pavs. I know some are going to think that's crazy, but IMO you got so much talent on the first line with Hank and Pavs that you may as well spread it around and have Hank center his own line. On line three I think Flip and Clears could really spark up Bert. It just strikes me as a line that could have real good chemistry. And then you have the checking line of Kopay, Drapes, and Malts. So basically in all four lines you've got someone who can score, someone who's creative with the puck, and someone who's gritty/physical. What do you all think?

Dom and Cheli LOL at Cheli bugging them to play him even more. That guy is a true warrior. Unbelievable.

That's classless.

WCF Game 3 (5/15): Red Wings @ Ducks - 9 PM ET
HockeyCrazy3033 replied to aflac9262's topic in General
I really, really have a great feeling about tonight. Wings score the first three goals of the game, and the Ducks score one in the second. Wings 3 (Chelios, Draper, Datsyuk) Ducks 1 (Penner) GO WINGS!!!!! -
I am at Hockeytown Authentics at least once a week. They all know me there. It's great because it's 5 minutes away from my house. They've got everything Red Wings you could possibly want. Plus, they've just came out with many new shirts for the playoffs. It's great.
-
Well he stated before he came on these boards that just recently in the last few years he's become a hockey fan so it's pretty understandable. Anyways, Cleary's rocks above all. He looks like a werewolf!
-
Great article. I'm really happy for him and how he's turned it all around. He'll be back with the Wings.
-
Sens up 3-0 in the series. Wow.
-
OUCH. 1-0 13 left in the third. Sabres need to do something now or else they go down 3-0 in this series.
-
I agree. In all honesty though, I think some are just relieved more than anything. Mainly due to t he fact that the Wings have had so many injuries this season, and continually in the playoffs. I highly doubt some on here are really happy that someone is injured. At least I hope not...
-
You said it.
-
Absolutely not. I just happen to think he's a heck of a player when healthy. And actually it depends where you break your hand and what bone as to whether you can play on it or not. Obviously he could, but was still ineffective.
-
Welcome to the boards! Of course you can stick around these boards! It's fans like you from opposing teams that are needed here! You seem like one heck of a fan, and very classy as well.
-
WHY are all my faves always jinxed. What is this s***. Bullocks- Calder DOES have a broken hand. It was mentioned right after the Flames series and it was quite obvious as he was holding his hand down, and shaking with his other in line of the handshakes. What proof do you need? Want him to show you his hand or something? I mean come on peeps..it's completely obvious.

Not sure if it deserves its own thread

LILS!!!!! Anddddd the Wings lead ALL team with the most players on the list with hits *6* Andreas, Danny C, Danny M, Todd, Kirk, and Johan. Soft my ass. -
When the Red Wings win, it will be because the captain played his heart out. Fixed it for you.
-
Listrom overrated? Now I've heard it all.
-
An oddly enough we lost to the Ducks 4-3 in OT like we did in Game 2 against the Avs in '02. Good 'ol Drury with the winner.
-
Are you watching the same Lidstrom we are? He has by far been the best defensman not only on the Wings, but in the playoffs thus far of any team.
-
Because he has a BROKEN HAND. I am sorry, but this is just all really pissing me off *The fact that he gets ragged on when it's clear he's hurt.* It seems to me that Babs is going to stick with Kyle from here on out, and I don't blame him. WHY? Cause you better all believe the KC of the regular season is going to break out and take it to the Sharks. Ya'll just watch. Broken hand and all, he's going to say screw the pain, I got a game to play! I love Huds and I think he should play too, but I REALLY, truly believe he would be completely man handled out there. He wouldn't even be able to get into the neutral zone without being hammered. I'd seriously fear for little Jiri, but I'd love to see him play!
-
He has been very good throughout the playoffs, actually scratch that, he's been GREAT. I can't even count how many great defensive plays he's made that could of easily cost us a goal had he not been there. The guy is relentless out there, and his physicality is great. He'll hit anyone, fight anyone, and sticks up for his teammates like no other. Danny is the man!
-
So do I! I woke up today and was like "The Wings are going win the next two." lol
-
Oh geez. Sorry, I don't buy it at all. Do NOT ever count out the Wings, like it seems you guys are already doing. This team is much, much different than the last 4 or so years. The series is 1-1, people.
-
LMAO. Here we go again.. So the Wings haven't been impressive 5 on 5 so far in two games, how in the hell does that mean we can't 'handle' them? TWO games makes up a series eh, Chrissy? Leave it up to Pronger to always talk smack. And then "Oh they better be ready for Tuesday." Right. We'll see about that. The Wings will start coming around on their even strength play, and when they do who'll see who's the impressive team, with the Wings already owning the Ducks on special teams.
