Calder isn't playing awful. The guy plays what? 4 minutes? And when he's out there does he do anything wrong? No? He doesn't give up the puck, or cause turnovers etc.. why he's getting ragged on constantly is beyond me. It really irks me because even with the very little time he is out there, you can tell he's out there hustling and giving it his absolute best. I feel awful for him.

I think he's a heck of a player. Tough loss. Thornton is out too now, isn't he? They didn't even say what happened to him. After the first period he was out.

LOL I'm sure both fans of both teams have had so many heart attacks. These games have been absolutely nerve wrecking! Yet really exciting as well. It's going to be a fantastic series. Glad you had an awesome time!! That's great about the seats. My Dad use to get 4 tickets for free too *from his friend that gets it from his company* and then we'd have VIP parking too. Ahhh we got them last year in the playoffs. No such luck this year. Just when we make it far eh. lol Anywho, they showed the 2nd goal a bunch of times on TV and the puck was clearly in. At first it looked like Dom had it under his pad, but it did slide under him and was definitely over the line. It didn't look like it though because the water bottle was kinda covering it up in some of the replays. LOL good 'ol water bottle trying to save Dom. The third goal, however, shouldn't have counted. He was pushed, and if not for that the puck wouldn't have crossed the line. That's just bad luck I guess. You're right though. We'll get 'em in Anaheim!

Not at all. Glad you had a great time. Wish the outcome would of been different for you! Anyways, I agree on pretty much everything you said. I was pissed obviously that we lost, but can't win 'em all and quite honestly the Ducks don't scare me in the least. The Wings are VERY capable of putting this team away, and I have all the faith in the world that they will.

Aside from the first period, the Wings absolutely owned the rest of the game. BUT let's be honest here, the Wings AND Ducks have both not been on their 'A' games. Both got flukey goals. Wings in Game 1, and Ducks in Game 2. The series is tied. It's really not a big deal. The fact that the Wings aren't even playing their best and are still winning *Game 1* and VERY close to winning *Game 2* says a lot. I do agree in that they have to play a full 60 minutes, but I don't think they played as bad as you made it out to be. As for Bert, he played perfectly fine today. He didn't score or assist, but he's still a nice prescence to have out there and he isn't costing the Wings at all. Benching him would be silly.

Carlyle just said he is 'day to day' as they are going to get tests done and what not. Any Anaheim fans know what caused the injury and what it exactly is? Thornton is out now too...

I forgot to mention something, I really thought Lang played his best game of the playoffs tonight. He was everywhere. Fantastic passing, great plays, kept pressuring, and even got a little physical. Atta boy Langer.

lol I love how we all get so mad over a split *including myself of course* we have to realize the Wings can't win every game, but I guess some of the calls made today were absolutely pathetic. We dominated the second half of the game and should of won, that's why it freaking stings. btw, they REALLY need to get rid of the delay of game penalty. it has got to be the most pointless penalty ever. anyways, Wings will be fine, and I agree with whoever said the Sharks were harder to play.
