You know why I use to rag on Lilja all the time? *prior to the post season* because he's such a big guy and I knew that if he wanted to, he could do some damage out there! The second the post season started he has been fantastic! Laying the body, mixing it up, sticking up for his mates, getting into scrums, and if need be, fighting. His PK is amazing as well, and the fact that he sacrifices himself, gets down low and blocks shots. Not only has the guy been a dominant physical prescence, but his entire overall game has improved majorly. He has made some HUGE defensive plays that literally saved the Wings in being the diference between a win and loss. The guy has come up big and I am exteremely happy for him. Definitely IMO the top 3 D for us so far this playoffs. You rock, Lils! Keep it up baby! Also not sure if anyone knows this BUT our boy Andreas leads the Wings AND Sharks in hits this post season. $550, 000 is a steal. I think it's a great deal and I may be one of the few, but im very pleased he'll be a Wing for the next three years. The guy doesn't show it on the scoreboard, but he's always huge for the Wings in the playoffs. He brings it every year, and it's the little things he does..hits, pk, great forechecking/pressure, etc.. that leads up to the big goals, and plays that in the end makes all the difference.

That is what my Dad and I always say..that he is exactly like Bowman, in that he doesn't celebrate, or smile after wins. He's the type that won't do so UNTIL he wins it all. I actually like that a lot. He's definitely all business. I like that he keeps it that way. I think it shows his team that he's going to be tough no matter what. They won't ever have it easy..and that nothing will be good enough until they win the Cup. I mean obviously inside the guy is FILLED with job, but he's a very compsed fella and I think that's great.

I have class and a test in like 8 hours and I am waaaaayyyy to excited to sleep! Wowza. This Wings team is unbelievable! When Schneids scored the winner my sis and I went CRAZY! I'm pretty sure we woke up the whole neighborhood. LOL my Dog even got up! Ahhh what a GREAT feeling! To come back like that first with Homer getting a goal in the dying seconds of the 2nd period, and then Lang with seconds left in regulation! And then the OT winner with a few minutes left. WOW. These guys are amazing. And to those that say that have no heart? PSH. IN YOUR FACE. This team does not give up. They have all the heart in the world. Dom was freaking great tonight! Can't fault him on either of the two goals. He made some HUGE saves in the third, and especially OT. I nearly had a heart attack like three or four times in OT while the Sharks were swarming around our zone and near Hasek..and then he came up with reallllly huge saves. I love you, Dom. .....did I really just say that? Homer is such a huge difference it's unreal. Everyone made such a big deal of him being back and now we all know why. The guy is a difference maker and he played awesome tonight, BOBBY LANG! This is twice now that the guy saved our asses. BOBBY IS CLUTCH AND CLUTCH MEANS EVERYTHING! Danny Cleary amazes me more and more with his work ethic as games go on. The guy is just amazing to watch. I loveeeeee him. What a shot by Schneids!! Anyways, I would love to comment on every player and what they did good tonight to complete the comeback but that may take awhile! GO WINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
