I'd just like to clear one thing up about this whole situation. What's going on with Michigan, the economy, the over priced tickets..etc does not in any way take away from what GREAT die hard, loyal fans the Wings have. Wings fans have always been known as one of the best in the NHL and I don't think any of whats going on right now should have an effect on that. You can bet anything that if the Wings were to lower their prices, tickets would sell out every game, and if they were to win the Cup, you'd see around a million or so fans being there to celebrate and cheer them on. Just sayin'...

Am I the only one who thinks Calder has played really well from Game 5 of the Flame series and on.. ? Great news about Flip he deserves it. Huds and Langer do well together anyway so that's a good thing for the 4th line.

Yeah some of what he says is in the one I posted. Anyways, I was jus talking to my Dad *he works at DMC* and I asked him if the economy is really that bad..he says no it's not bad..it's horrible. He's worked in Detroit for over 30 years now so I think that says a lot. He was also telling me that the Illitch's NEED to lower ticket prices. It really is ridiculous. Horrible economy with over priced tickets is not a good mix.

Please stop comparing this to the Edmonton series. This is a different Wings team. The Wings team against the Oilers didn't drive to to the net, didn't forecheck, didn't play physical, and didn't get good goaltending. Whole different story this time around. The Wings played a poor game last night. Not awful, but nowhere near good or how they are capable of playing.You'll see a different Wings team out there tomorrow.

Exactly. That's what I was thinking. The Sharks would have never trapped if they didn't have a 2-0 lead. That made all the difference right there. I expect the Wings to come out flying tomorrow and take it to 'em.

First off, Welcome to the boards. Great post by the way. You tell it like it is and that's great to see! About the fans at the JLA, they are usually extremely loud during the playoffs. In fact, every game so far they've been INSANELY loud. I don't know what the deal with today was but it certainly was out of the ordinary. It's weird because before the puck even dropped I felt the game was going to be boring, and that it would feel like a season game..and that's how it panned out. I'm guessing everyone at the JLA felt the same? The Wings are VERY much loved in MI, but with the economy doing so horribly, the expensive as heck ticket prices and with the Pistons, and Tigers all playing as well and around the same time..it has an effect on the Wings. That being said, everyone knows the further the Wings go the more everything will go back to normal. It also has a lot to do with expectations of this team. WIth going out early the last four years, lots have decided to give away their season/playoff tickets. What can ya say..Wings fans are spoiled. I can guarantee though that if they make it to the WCF tickets will sell out just like that and the buzz would be completely back. Regardless of what is going on right now, Red Wing fans are some of the best most loyal, die hard fans there is anywhere. The crowds at the JLA really don't say a lot *in how we all really feel and care about the Wings* that's just what I think anyway..

There is absolutely nothing wrong with what any of the Sharks fans posted. They gave their opinions and insight on the game. The way I see it you are being rude and for no good reason. Maybe sober up before you come out slamming them.

Oh I agree. Today the crowd was completely out of it in which any crowd would be being down 2-0 so early on. I thought the song sounded different! They showed the JLA like 5 minutes before game time and I heard this freestlying..dance type of song. Was that the new one? I really digged the one from the last round too. Yeah that oughta do it. You're a Wings fan? This entire time I thought you were a Sharks fan that was trying to get under everyones skin. Anyways, the Wings will be fine.

Let them say what they want. Watch what happens when the Wings get a victory on Saturday. I bet there will be an article praising the Wings and saying "Oh this series is far from over and bla bla bla."

The crowds at the Joe are extremely loud, but when watching it on tv you wouldn't think that for a second. It makes no sense but you gotta be there to see how amazing the atmosphere and excitement is down there. The TV doesn't show any of it..that's for sure.

Not worried at all either. This series just feels so weird and I don't know why. It didn't at ALL feel like a playoff game to me and that is odd because this series is suppose to be the most scary, and very nerve wrecking. But yeah not worried at all. Damn was the game BORING!

If you were a smart hockey fan, you'd know that while winning is a great thing, one game doesn't mean a damn thing. You'd also know that the Wings were NOT on their game tonight, if they were you can bet anything that the outcome would have been different. Oh you're very welcome for your gift. Detroit will give you yours on Saturday.

The Wings didn't play their 'a' game. That is why they beat us. Sharks got lucky within the 25 seconds. That second goal was a fluke. Truth be told, I wasn't impressed with either team tonight. This is not how the rest of the series will be.. Schneider was great in the entire series against the Flames. He has one bad game now and you're going to give up on him?
