Terrible? One of the worst games of the season? I think that is just a tad overboard. I actually think the Wings played pretty darn good..especially for it being a road game. They obviously played nowhere near they did in games 1 & 2 but they were by no means awful, and they were not extremely outplayed by the Flames. A couple mistakes here and there, and a few bad penalties is what cost them. I agree about Lidstrom, Hank, and Hasek. They all had really bad games. Those are probably the three most important guys on our team, and when you have all three of them having a bad game..it's not going to equal a win. That being said, we all know that Dom has a great tendency to bounce back quickly and play the game of his life following a loss in which he though he could of played much better. As for Lidstrom, it's like a once in a liftetime thing. LOL he'll be perfectly fine. Hank will get it going. He just needs to shake the rust off. It's not as easy as 1,2,3 when you've been out for 6 weeks. Also, *not you* but lots on here including Flame fans need to lay the heck off a Bertuzzi. The guy just came back from a CONCUSSION. Do you expect him to be 100% out there right away? Give the guy a freaking break. Those saying he was invisible is pretty laughable. He played a pretty decent game, and to me that's pretty damn good considering it takes awhile coming back from the injuries he's had all season. Watch out tomorrow..that's all I gotta say.

I don't think that Drapers line should be split up at all. The Cleary, Drapes, Malts line has been the Wings best in the series How bout this: Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Holmstrom Calder-Filppula-Bertuzzi Franzen-Lang-Hudler Cleary-Draper-Maltby Or is there NO way Babs puts Langer on the 4th line. Maybe that'll get him pissed and going! EDIT: TAKE SAMMY OUT, DAMN IT!

Calder has been the only one on his line actually doing something. I said it a couple games ago that he does not deserve to be on a line with Langer and Sammy. There's only so much you can do by yourself! Plug him in with two new linemates and all will be well again...actually just take out Sammy, replace him with Bert and all will be good! I don't know what the deal is with Lang but SLOWLY and surely he's getting there. KC is the man.

First off, I'm a lady, not a 'dude.' Secondly, I never once said they didn't have to work on their special teams. In fact, I believe I DID say that they needed to but it was not the end of the world being ONE loss. Excuse me for thinking it is wrong for some to come out and call doom and gloom after one loss in which the Wings played actually pretty decent. They didn't even play their best hockey, and the Flames played completely desperate yet the Wings COULD of easily won it. What does that tell you? I'm not going to back off when I see posts about the Wings hitting the golf courses early again over one freaking loss.

Some Flame fans along with a few others around the league are claiming its a .....cheapshot! Now that's a joke. Seriously.

You know what really pisses me off? When fans like you come on here after the Wings are up 2-0 in the series giving the Wings non stop praises, talking about how absolutely fantastic the entire team is playing, they are unstoppable, so much different from the past 4 years..etc.. and then then the very SECOND they lose in a VERY close game that could of gone either way and now all of a sudden they gotta work on SO many things or else they'll be done. You're exactly the description of what a fair weather fan is. It's perfectly find to give constructive criticism, but to make a thread stating they might be golfing early yet again, and that Kipper will make them get 'bounced' again is just overboard and immature. Either stick by your teams side or don't. We all know they need to work on their PP, and PK but that does not take away from the fact that they are playing some of the best playoff hockey since 2002. Give them a freaking break.

How did they not look confident in the third? The third was by far their best period. Were you watching the same game? This is a different Wings game and I think we all know that. They are not going to let one loss phase them, especially one that they could of won because they played really well. This Wings team is a great, skilled, TOUGH, gritty, team. They know what they have t do, and they are going to play just as desperate as the Flames in Game 4.

First off, you could of posted this in the GDT. That's what it's there for. Secondly, the fact that one would go out of his way to make a semi-panic thread stating that the Wings could be golfing early again after ONE freaking loss is something I think one would consider deleting.

Oh WOW. I have a feeling this thread will be deleted, and rightfully so. The Wings have been playing some of their BEST playoff hockey in years. They lose one game in which they played really well and this is what you have to say? I mean seriously..it's quite mind boggling. This is a different Wings team. This is the problem with some fans. It's the second they lose one game that the entire world comes crashing down. It's ONE game. You don't have hope anymore because of one game? Come on now.. This Wings team is completely different compared to the ones that got knocked out the past 4 years. I really don't get some of you guys..it's amazing how such a CLOSE game that the Wings played really well in and could of won, but loss now is turned into some fans having no 'hope' left. I'm sorry but I'll never understand that and I think it's wrong. It's like you guys expect us the Wings to sweep every series and god forbid if they lose one that means its all over.

1. Because he is Robert Lang and they won't ever bench him. 2. He's not a grinder at best. He will slowly but surely make his way to the top again. When you're out mostly the entire season due to a back injury and then come back and get a concussion, it's going to take awhile. 3. He was off and he knows it and admitted it. He'll prove something in Game 4. 4. He sure did. 5. Kipper is playing great, but in case you missed it the Wings beat him the first two games and made it look easy. The Wings losing tonight had nothing to do with Kipper. Kipper, while a great goalie, is very beatable. Let's not get ahead of ourselves and think of a so called 'bounce' because of one loss in which the Wings actually played really well. 6. Don't watch then.

Agreed about the refs. Pathetic. No it wasn't the main reason the Wings lost, but it sure as hell had a lot to do with it. The couple calls on Markov and the one on Calder were absolutely PATHETIC! And don't even get me started on how much they grabbed, hooked, and held the Wings and got nothing for it. Especially that trip on Hank before Iggy scored the winner. That being said, Wings in 5. I am not worried for a lot reasons, the main being that the Wings played really good tonight especially for being out on the road and in the so called 'hostile' enviornment. It's not like the Wings were outplayed either, they both played really well. Wow is Dan Cleary amazing or what?! I expect Dom to come out in Game 4 and absolutely shut down the Flames especially for that goal he let in on Iginla. We all know he's pissed about it and we all know that he always bounces back with a win. Anyways, if anything the Wings need to really work on their PK. Other than that they are good to go. And for the love of GOD, take out Sammy and put in Huds. Also, Lilja, Cleary, Maltby, and Drapes all played fantastic tonight. GO WINGS!!!!!! That's exactly it. Staying out of the box is key. Although some of the calls were absolutely pathetic. Anyways..Calgary can't score on even strength for the life of them. The Wings are still playing great hockey, they just needed to stay out of the box and they would of won, easily.

I'm honestly not worried at all. We all thought the Wings would have a split coming to Calgary, and well I predicted Wings in 5..so im sticking with it. The Wings actually played REALLY well tonight on the road. Props to them. GO WINGS!!!!! They'll take the next game.
