Bertuzzi, Datsyuk, and Zetterberg. Those three are the ones that are going to have to be on their A game in order for the Wings to go far. Of course the entire team is going to have to step it up, but those three are the most important, imo.

Osgood has played excellent against the Preds. The way he's played in his last 5-6 starts he absolutely deserves this game. Saying he isn't able to 'steal' a game is foolish. He is way more than capable of beating these guys again. Way to ruin the thread though. It never fails that when Ozzie is mentioned someone always has to stir things up. Calling Ozzie mediocre is a joke. Babs doesn't agree and rightfully so. -
I'm sorry but is 'imisssergei' a joke on this board or what? I mean seriously I've never been so annoyed by reading posts in my life. Stop already. It's ridiculous.

I think he's starting Ozzie because he's played really well in his last 5-6 starts and while he does own the Stars, he's got a great record against the Preds too. 14-5-2-1 with a 2.29 goals against. To my knowledge Ozzie owns 4 teams when facing them: Stars, Bolts, Nucks, and Preds* Pretty good. So really I can see why Babs is playing him. Plus it's giving Dom a rest. I'd rather they do that then take a risk and play him back to back. -
I would love to comment to why I think you're absolutely beyond wrong about Dom and Ozzie, but I really can't take your posts seriously so I'll save myself the typing.

LMAO I wonder what guys were the 2% that said the best thing about their job is the women. Hahaha It's great to know the Wings are the toughest to play against on the road, AND that they'd love to be traded here...well 3rd place.

DODGEBALL!! *Lafleur is being blindfolded* Cotton: Yes, he will not be able to see!

Ditto. Good article!

Yep. They talk the talk and in two weeks they gotta walk the walk. I have faith. GO WINGS!!!!!!

That's what I want to see! Get one of them the hell outta the post season!

Atta boy!

First off, lose your damn attitude. Secondly, don't freaking call me out and say that i'm garbage or that I'm a homer poster. I've posted on these board for years and nearly every single day and no one has a problem with me. It's jerks like you that come around calling people out that gives all this a bad name. I have been ragging on Lilja all season which I believe makes me NOT a homer. I thought he played great and had a really good fight especially when it was against Moen who is supposedly suppose to kick his ass. That didn't happen and Lilja did a good job defending himself. I gave him credit because it was due and I would love to see more of it from him.vHe sparked the team and set the tone for them to play physical and on top of that to go out and win. You don't agree? Then fine. But don't go insulting and calling someone out to make yourself look better.

Congrats!

Maltby should not and will not sit out. He's always been known to step it up in the playoffs. Having an agitating player like him to get under the opponents skin is what the Wings need. Plus he's great in those pressure situations and well we all know he's marvelous on the PK as usual. I don't care that he isn't great in the season. He's a playoff performer and that's where he shines at most. The Kirk Maltby that we always see in the post season is the Maltby that all of us loved and thought was great in the late 90's. You're going to want energy guys like him, drapes, cleary..etc to start the game off or get the momentum to shift the Wings way when need be. I really think Sammy needs to sit because Huds and Flip have played too damn good and have earned their spots, imo.

I wasn't talking about this very moment. I was talking about the post season.

He's been back since the 6th.

YEP. I am totally lovin this pain train thing going on! Thanks to HOH for starting it! Hmmm..now which Predator will Lilja fight on Thursday?!
-
Exactly. That's what got me upset in the few posts above. Finally a Wing sticks up for himself and his teammates and he gets bashed for it! That's pathetic. I'm so glad Lilja fought. It's made me respect him and actually like the guy a bit. You can tell how much momentum if gave the Wings and that much needed spark they needed to go out there and do their thing. Atta boy Lils!

The battle between the Avs and Flames is really interesting to me. It's going to be down the the last two games or so. It doesn't help though that the Avs lost tonight while the Flames won. That puts the Flames 7 pts up. So really..the Avs can't afford to lose anymore.
-
Which I think is quite exaggerrated. I know Moen is a good figher and has fought many times, but I honestly thought he'd beat the hell outta Lilja and well..not even close. That's why I'm saying it's a draw or that Lilja may have a slight edge. His punches connected and were better than the ones Moen gave to Lilja's jersey.
-
All those saying Lang will surely eat their crow come playoff time.
-
Riiiiight. Because the fight didn't spark anything for the Wings huh? You are totally exaggerating on Lilja, by the way. First off Lilja didn't throw a punch..he threw about three that all connected. He then TRIPPED and thats when Moen got the upperhand. You think the Ducks got a laugh out of it? That's funny because I recall them saying the Wings played great last night and that they were surprised with their physical play. Which btw, is a good thing. I'm sorry but the only thing embarassing out of all this is your post.

Yeaaaah baby! EDIT: 2-1 Preds. WTF

0-0 with under 4 left in the first. Right on! I feel the same. I only prefer first for the home ice advantage.
