Bert sounds SO much different than I'd ever think. I mean I've heard him talk a million times before but he just sounds much different than he looks. If that makes sense? And I thought it was great that he said he hopes the Wings fans will cheer for him. OH HELL YES WE WILL!

Just last week Chelios said that Tkachuk or Bertuzzi would be a great fit for the Wings, and that he would absolutely be able to put everything aside and get along with him.

On the process of getting Bertuzzi: Holland: In the last few weeks we’ve been talking to the Panthers and talked about prices, we went back and forth over the past week or so ,and then we finally made a deal. On when Bert will be able to play: He’s had the team doctors from Detroit *specializing in backs* talking to the Doctors in Florida. We think he’s going to be healthy enough to play sometime in the month of March. We think he’s about 2-3 weeks away from being in the line up. He’ll be in Detroit tomorrow, and will see the team Doctor. On whether Holland’s intentions are to re-sign him or is it just a rent a player: He hopes that everything will work out, that he plays well, and that they develop a relationship to where Bertuzzi likes it in Detroit and will want to stay. On Kyle Calder: Gritty player, likes to dump and chase. Is like Homer *drives to the net, gets garbage goals* feels he’ll do really well for the Wings.

Okay I've gone to hating Bert to loving him in a matter of an hour. I mean I was always one to think he'd be great here..but now with him being happy about this trade just makes it all the more better! He was saying that Calder is not better than Willie, and that Bert is going to get beat up, and injured and the Wings aren't going anywhere. I did hear Babs at the very end. He said he wasn't sure when Bert would be ready to play. He was saying he just wants him to be 100% and come back when he feels good enough to. Also, Babs was talking about how tough, in your face, and great of a player he is and that no one does what he does better than him.

I look at that..and see Bert and it's just WEIRD but in a great way. Who would have EVER thought *even though we've talked about it* that he would be a freaking Detroit Red Wing! Wowza. I know we've all hated on him..but this move is amazing if it works out. Someone to FINALLY take care of Pav and Hank. LOVE IT.
