If I do remember correctly he's actually a pretty darn good player that's gritty, fast, and a heck of a penalty killer. He'd fit will on the Wings 3rd/4th line.

I guess Babcock was watching a different game too seeing as how he stated after the game that the Wings got REALLY good goaltending tonight despite the loss. The Isles absolutely LOVED Ozzie as did their fans. He was fantastic his first year there, and the second he was injured throughout most of the season so they decided it was best to trade him and give Dipi a chance. Ozzie was also great for the Blues. Hell..he TOOK them to the playoffs by standing on his head game in and out especially when they were minus Macinnis, Pronger and Jackman in their lineup. Why did the Blues let him go? Beause WHO do the Blues NOT let go? They get a new goalie every one to two years. They are never content in net. Ever. I'm sorry you know I love ya but your posts are pretty much shocking me. I still think Ozzie's got it and I still think he's very capable of being a starter. to you, and Rabia.

Don't give up on Lang. He'll be fantastic in March. Seriously. You know I was thinking the same thing. Something could be going on in his personal life that could be distracting him. You just never know.

Osgood isn't the reason the Wings lost. Period. The thing that gets me is some of you make it seem like NO OTHER GOALIE in the NHL gives up bad goals. OBVIOUSLY you guys don't watch a lot of hockey because if you did you'd see these exact goals game in and out. s*** happens. Get over it.

I'm kinda shocked at this thread. Osgood is anything but lazy. He's always very much into the game, very competitive, aggressive, fast and just reallly gives it his all out there.. I thought he played awesome tonight. Yeah the first two goals were bad, but on the second he was pretty much left alone with two of his guys just coming at him and not getting out of the way. I don't even know how being lazy has anything to do with the goals that were scored on him. He made an effort to save the first one but it went right under his arm. I thought he played VERY good tonight. He pretty much saved the Wings in the first and throughout most of the third. The third and OT goal were pretty much just unlucky and he had no chance at all. So yeah..nothing do with lazyness IMO. Ozzie is still the same ol Ozzie to me.

I don't think Ozzie had a so/so game. I think he was great and is one of the main reasons aside from Homer of course that the Wings got a point. He made HUGE saves in the first, and third to keep them in it when they were down, and tied. It could of been a lot worse. A lot. As for Hasek? Come on. You can't even say that. Hasek gives up softies every now and then. Every goalie does.

I know and I'll get it over it in minutes, I just get bummed because this ALWAYS happens to Ozzie. He literally saved their asses in the first and the third with that huge save and somehow they get unlucky and lose. The Wings IMO played REALLY well and gritty tonight. It was anyones game..I just wish we would of got the game. Oh well. Gotta move on.

I cannot believe this crap. We had the game right where we wanted it and then 2 goals in what 4 minutes? And both Ozzie had NO chance and I really don't care what anyone's going to say. He played excellent tonight and deserved a damn win. Then again you know how it goes..Ozzie plays great and he doesn't get a W.

He's one of the lucky ones where no matter how old he gets he's still gonna have that young, good looking, innocent face. My mom absolutely LOVES him and thinks he looks like a puppy.
