I don't think Ozzie is dreamy! lol I do think he's adorable though! EVERYONE thinks that though..the guy is 34 and he's got that babyface look like a 20 year old. You're right about the way he always bounces back. People look at him and say this guy isn't tough BECAUSE of the way he looks, but it is BEYOND opposite. He is REALLY mentally tough and agressive as hell. He WANTS to win and he'll do whatever it takes to do so. The thing I seriously admire most about him aside from what we've already mentioned is that he's such an excellent team player. Never does he complain, or question the coach or his teammates. When I see him on the bench I seriously get sad wishing he could play more but then you see him and he's all happy, chewing his gum, and just yapping as if he's having the time of his life. He'll just do whatever is asked upon him and seriously..what more could the Wings ask for.

I didn't know your fave was Ozzie! WOOT WOOT! lol I agree with everything you say. Everyone knows Ozzie is my top fave FOREVERRRR. The Ozzie chants are the best! I love how they only chant his name. I swear I NEVER hear the fans at the JLA ever chant any of our other goalies over the years. Maybe Manny..a couple times I think but thats it. People can say what they want about Oz but he is LOVED in Detroit. Fans may get on him when he has bad games but nevertheless they love him, and want to see him do well as they should because he's been with the Wings since he was 20 and is beyond loyal to the organization. He's the kinda of guy you'd always want to have on your team no matter what.

True. Plus if I remember correctly after a few giveaways/turnovers by Willie his ice time drastically decreased as the game went on. Flip started playing much more...even with Willie's linemates Cleary, and Langer.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Kinda shocking he'd bench Willie over Huds and Langfeld. Although, I think Huds and Langer have been doing really well the past week or so.

Well he won't be playing his last game tonight, because he's not playing. He's getting benched.

Yeah let's just HOPE Kenny has a surprise for us Wings fans. I'm all for players like Raffi, and Dallas. Those are the exact type of players the Wings need. Someone that can send a message to the opposing team and let em know that they are not taking their crap and will stick it to em, whether it be scoring, hitting, fighting, sticking up for their teammates..etc. I just don't know want to get all excited thinking Holland will make this Wings team tougher and hard to play against only to have him either not make a move or bring in some type of no name or washed up player. We'll just have to wait and see I guess. As for Anaheim, they scare me.

Good post. I see what you mean as far as what type of players we need. I'm all about getting a big, physical, scoring winger that would help us not only on the scoresheet but toughness as well. The Wings definitely lack that and that's what's been haunting them in the last four post seasons. Hopefully Kenny will do something about it soon. I think the Wings could go far this post season if they DO go out and get someone like I mentioned. Plus, the Wings are much more fast, and even have a little grit to them compared to last season so I think they can compete with majority of the teams out there. Also, Markov is going to help if he stays healthy *crosses fingers* especially with his willingness to sacrifice his body, play tough, and block shots. That's what the Wings haven't had in quite awhile so that will defintiely help. Thanks for being nice! lol

I don't see anything wrong with me thinking that having Feds back would spark the line up and definitely him. It's one of those things were a certain player plays great with a certain team and when he goes elsewhere he just loses whatever he had and vice versa. I think Feds is in NEED for a fresh start..and what I mean by that is coming back to the Wings where he made a name for himself and became one of the best two way forwards in the league. Sure he is a bit older now, and while I don't know for SURE if he'd be the same ol Feds, I'd be willing to take a chance. PLUS I love the guy and miss him so that plays into it a little. Like harold said, some of it is due to sentimental reasons.

Because I still think he is one hell of a player when he gives it his all and plays like he knows he's capable of playing. I'd take Feds back in a heartbeat. Coudln't care less how old he is. If you can play, you can play. He isn't 'washed up' in my eyes.

I would LOVE to have Feds back. I don't care that he hasn't been so hot since leaving the Wings because I KNOW if he were to come back he'd be the same ol great Feds. But it's the $$$ that's an issue. Neither have I.

This is heart breaking. But with that I'd like to say to the Tigers THANK YOU for such a great season and ESPECIALLY an amazing post season. Each and every one of you were GREAT. I had the time of my life rooting for you guys and this is just the beginning!
